Akari is a polite, fun-loving and benevolent red-haired girl who is said to be the main protagonist of the series. However, due to her rather small presence and plain personality, she is often forgotten about or pushed into the background, yet still means well. One of her only unique features is her odango hairstyle and a running gag is that her lack of presence gives her the ability to become invisible, accompanied by the sound “Akkari~n!”. Kyōko and Yui are her childhood friends, while Chinatsu, Sakurako and Himawari are her classmates.
