米コロラド州パーカーで１１日、生後１２週のペキニーズの子犬が住宅の通気口に落下した。「アーチー・ビーン」と名付けられたこの子犬は３時間におよぶ救助作業の末に無事救出された。地元の消防隊によると、アーチーはベッドから飛び降りた際、カバーがなかった通気口から滑り落ちてしまったとみられる。
