Out of all the bajillion BL’s airing right now this has got to be my fav! Even though the story is nothing like Love for Love’s Sake it gives me the same feels. The sad yet silly, hopefulness. It’s also really nice to see how well Kohei’s hearing issue’s are represented. There are many variations of hearing impairments and not everyone is the same. The underwater ‘blurry’ sound he hears is exactly how it sounds and how I describe my hearing loss (though only in one year). [And that’s why the voice overs from his perspective are a bit difficult to hear in my edit.] I never connected so much to a character as when Kohei went into the cafeteria and it was so stressful – not just cause of the jerks that came up but just trying to figure out people’s voices and what sound above all the other ‘noise’ is important to isolate.
My other top favs airing now are, in a surprising turn of events, The Rebound and Century of Love, both of which I am going to try and edit – though they may be Their Story edits, idk if I have time for anything else – plus with 2 eps a week they’re ending soon!
