Such a wonderful, beautiful, touching and kinky love story.. Nana to Kaoru/Nana and Kaoru is one of my favourite mangas, the live actions you see in the video are not bad either, but no where near as good as the manga. There are 2 live action movies for Nana to Kaoru. To be quite frank, the live actions are a bit cheesy, still not bad though, quite a fun watch. Don’t get me started on the OVA, such a disappointment.. all the feelings and romance and deep emotions are gone with the OVA, the OVA makes Nana and Kaoru seem like it isn’t full of deep emotions and romance, when it actually is. The OVA makes Nana and Kaoru seem like it is just purely sexual and not deep, and while purely sexual and not deep isn’t bad, it takes the core out of what Nana & Kaoru is really about to me – which for me, is love and feelings, there is a depth to the Nana and Kaoru manga. Being shallow and sexual only isn’t bad at all, however, Nana and Kaoru is more than just only sexual, it is by no means shallow. Not that sex to me is shallow, but, it has the depth in the manga that the OVA takes away.
Nana & Kaoru is a very touching and lovely ecchi story. It isn’t hentai, it is ecchi, so sexually suggestive, but not explicit. You see the emotions, thoughts and feelings of both Nana and Kaoru always, and it makes for a beautiful, romantic and at the same time, kinky ecchi love story. Don’t be put off by the kink, or the ecchi, well.. I like kink and I don’t mind ecchi, so I am not put off by these things, I like them in it, however, if you are feeling put off by the kink or the ecchi, it is still worth a try to read it, it is a beautiful, wonderful and kinky love story. You really feel for both of these main characters and you root for them to get together. It is a very emotions driven story. You end up feeling for both characters. I wouldn’t be surprised if people have cried to Nana and Kaoru. It is that kind of romantic love story where you just want them to get together as lovers in the end. It also has the preparation for the BDSM scenes in it. It gives you understanding of how things are done, unlike 50 shades of grey, it is more realistic (which btw, 50 shades of grey is a horrible representation of kink and BDSM), and has planning involved. There is a lot of love in this manga. You get a sense that the mangaka knows what he is talking about, around BDSM and kink.
