To my favourite manga, Nana & Kaoru (Nana to Kaoru). WARNING! ECCHI & KINK! This video is for adults only, but nothing explicit. Nana & Kaoru isn’t hentai, it is ecchi. But there are boobs in this manga, along with sexual scenes, references & kink. But, the scenes with Nana & Kaoru are not explicit. Just to point out, there are pasties on her boobs with these panels I have in the video, so they are covered up. Nana & Kaoru is my fave manga due to the down to earth nature of the way the mangaka shows BDSM. It is based on feelings. Even if you don’t like ecchi or kink, I would suggest this to every reader who is open to trying it & who is 18+, it is an amazing manga that goes far beyond just titillating ecchi & titillating BDSM. It is a very emotions driven manga & I love it for that. Nana & Kaoru is a deep dive into the real emotions, thoughts & feelings behind the kinks, & the real good reasons for them.
Nana & Kaoru are both amazing characters. Kaoru isn’t just a “pervert” & Nana isn’t just for looking at, they both have depth to them, Kaoru is my fave, he is a sweet guy, yes he is horny, lol, but the horniness doesn’t take away from the sweetness. BDSM is an escape for him. You understand them, Kaoru isn’t just a stereotypical emotionless horny Dom, he has feelings & screws up sometimes, Nana has pressure put onto her by everyone but is very sweet in personality so she wants to do good, so she is prone to overworking. BDSM is a release for them both, so each character gets something out of it. It shows BDSM practitioners in a human way, instead of a way that a lot of people think it is, which is that a lot think it is just degenerate or perverted, without emotions or without any love, which is wrong, & while love doesn’t need to be in BDSM, a lot of the time, it can be, so it gives back the humanity & emotions to BDSM media & people. What it shows is real, instead of the very wrong view of BDSM being emotionless, harmful, always explicit & always sexual. This manga is focused on the relationship of Nana & Kaoru, & it shows a lot of the preparation for the scenes, it actually kinda educates you on the world of BDSM & kink, as well as mixing in romance with it all. It is by no means a manual how to, but it is actually quite enlightening & educational.
There is a OVA & a live action of Nana & Kaoru, I don’t suggest the OVA, it takes away all that the manga was amazing for. All the emotions, education & preparation for the scenes are gone, it is purely just ecchi, however, the Nana & Kaoru manga is renowned for being a lot more than just some titillating ecchi, not that titillating ecchi is bad, but Nana & Kaoru is way more than that, & what good qualities pulled me to the manga, are gone with the OVA. The live action is a bit.. cringey/cheesy, but it isn’t that bad, not as good as the manga though. If you haven’t delved into Nana & Kaoru, I suggest the manga first.
Fakku has now released the Nana & Kaoru manga officially in English, you can buy either the kindle or paperback versions. They are big omnibus versions, which I love. I am collecting them. Nana & Kaoru is a completed/finished manga. The Fakku Nana & Kaoru books seem great quality, paper is great, really thick and high quality. I have been trying not to bend the spine on my Nana & Kaoru Fakku books, but they are holding up well, so far. I think the binding is OK, but since I don’t want to bend the spines, I don’t know fully. There are even high quality colour prints of the front covers from the official Japanese releases in a section of these versions. I love the Fakku releases for this manga, they are big, heavy, thick, high quality omnibuses. I just wish they were hardcover, a shame they aren’t. I tried to see if number 3 of the Fakku Nana & Kaoru is still available on Amazon, just because I am curious, & noticed that it is out of stock for omnibus number 3, I don’t know what will happen, if more will be printed, but I would think this manga is more of a cult classic, not really as popular, so I am wondering if there will be more made & more in stock or if that is it. I doubt that Nana & Kaoru will be printed for a long period of time, I would think that Fakku would stop eventually, since this manga isn’t as popular due to it’s content probably putting off people.
Eh, their loss. This is an amazing manga & I feel that the prejudice surrounding this type of content isn’t justified, this manga shatters those misguided views & shows BDSM as how it really is, BDSM can be romantic, emotional, deep & touching too, guys. Despite if you aren’t kinky, this manga would be worth a read, even non kinky people will love it if they gave it a try, don’t judge a book by its cover, LOL. But, if you like BDSM or just like ecchi, or you are open to ecchi & BDSM, I highly suggest you check this manga out as well.
