【日本最速】デジモン新作ゲームを実況!【デジモンストーリー タイムストレンジャー】
Kon-Badgy-Gu! This is Terriermon Assistant! Today’s video is going to be great, guys! Here we go… Japan’s first live gameplay: Let’s play Digimon Story Time Stranger! Yes! We’ve featured this game several times on this channel, Digimon Story Time Stranger, the latest installment in the series. The release date was recently announced and pre-orders have begun! And now, I finally get to actually play it!!
プレイできます!! I’m sure some of you are seeing this for the first time, so let me explain what Digimon Story Time Stranger is all about. The story spans time and space, with strategic turn-based battles, and features over 450 Digimon to collect and raise— it’s a classic RPG experience. I’ve said it many times, but the excitement never stops! The fact that you can collect and raise 450 Digimon —how incredible is that? I hope all of you will try raising all 450 Digimon without leaving anyone out. Since this is Japan’s first live gameplay, I’ll be strolling through the Digital World and showing off its charm! Later on, I’ll also try taking on a boss, so don’t miss it! I can’t wait—I want to play already! Alright, let’s get started! Here we go! Wow, Inori-chan and everyone’s here! That’s right. I’m coming too. Excuse me! Whoa, so many voices! Wow!! This is amazing!! There’s a ton of ToyAgumon, Tanemon, Zudomon, and others! Of course they’re Digimon! Oh look, Etemon is hanging up there. Everyone’s living freely. It’s Ai-chan—I’m playing as Ai-chan right now. (Ai is Terri-suke’s original nickname given to the protagonist) I live in the Digital World. Amazing! Alright, now I can move around! Wow—there’s Garurumon, Patamon, Aegiomon and Gomamon following me too! I guess these are my party members! Here’s Hara-san! My buddy Hara-san has joined us. Did you select these Digimon just for me, Hara-san? (Hara P) Yes, that’s right. Also, there’s one more—Minervamon. (Hara P) One of the Olympos XII. Wait, we already have one with us!? (Hara P) Yes, she’s temporarily joining as a guest character. A guest character…? You’re casually dropping some huge info here! I wasn’t ready for that! (Hara P) We won’t get into the story details today, (Hara P) but Minervamon joins as a guest at this stage. (Hara P) This is the Digivice menu screen— not in the main party lineup right now. (Hara P) But if you open the Digimon menu… (Hara P) You can press X here to set up— Oh, there she is! (Hara P) Here she is. So that means members of the Olympos XII might appear as guest characters? (Hara P) Yes. That’s incredible! Are you sure you can just casually reveal something that huge!? (Hara P) Well, not all of them will necessarily join as guests. (Hara P) But at least Minervamon will accompany you at certain points. I mean, it’s kind of funny seeing a Mega-level standing among all these adorable Rookie-level Digimon. (Hara P) But it’s great to have such strong support at this stage. (Hara P) Having Minervamon with you is very reassuring. Alright, let’s explore the town a bit. Look, they’re saying stuff like, “Hmm. What to buy…?” Everyone’s just living their lives and chatting away. Do the yellow speech bubbles mean they have something important to say? (Hara P) Try talking to them! “Never seen ya around before!” I should read this in a nice voice, but I’ll do it in my own voice: “Ya here to check out mypassionate shout, too?! Yeah, of course ya are! No one can resist my soulful screams!” …Okay, oh? That’s it? He won’t say more? I kinda got my hopes up there. And this is a shop! Gawappamon says: Come and shop for skills! Til you get your fill! Whoa… nice flow—yeah! (Hara P) You can purchase skills here (Hara P) and equip them to your Digimon. “Customize, realize! Keep your eyes on the prize!” Nice rhyme again—yeah! There’s a flower shop too. Some Digimon talk, some don’t. Ah, Renamon, Impmon! Whoa, hold on— Terriermon and Lopmon… so precious. What is this? Wait… they’re so cute. I’m burning this moment into my eyes since I want to capture I’ve locked it into my memory now. They’re just too adorable! (Hara P) Yes, right now the Digimon— I can’t get through, but Tanemon just slipped right in. Yet again, one of Terri-suke’s favorite things is here… (Hara P) You can even climb these ladders. Got it! Meat. Meat and more meat! Oh nice, you can buy food! It’s always good when you can buy food. I want some meat too—makes sense, it’s around meal time. (Hara P) The food you buy here can be given to your Digimon (Hara P) through the DigiFarm system. Got it! Ah, it’s Vegiemon! Ooh, DigiMeat sounds tasty. Should I buy some? Do I have enough money? (Hara P) Yep, you have money. I do? Then I’ll buy it! Bought! (Hara P) All good. Purchase complete! Wow, you can climb up pretty high. Ah, so cute! I could live here forever. You can climb up quite far, huh? (Hara P) Yes, we designed this town with a very vertical structure in mind. So many Digimon around. Oh, there’s Lopmon again. Adorable. Yep, adorable. So cute. You can even witness sweet little moments like this? They’re chatting together! Such a beautiful vibe just right here on the street—it’s blissful. Here’s Palmon and Biyomon too. Flying Digimon sure have it easy—lots of them up in the air. I can fly too, you know! Amazing, this verticality. (Hara P) By the way, if you press R1, you can DigiRide. DigiRide? As in, that thing? (Hara P) That thing, yes. R1— I can DigiRide! Digimon racing! Excuse me. Oh, this is great—so fast! Even within town, it feels speedy. And this door here? Can I open it? (Hara P) Yes, go right ahead. I’ll open it. Of course— It’s the usual. (Hara P) Yep, the usual tavern. This is the dream location I saw! Reppamon—or not? Ah, the tail’s doing the talking. Yes, yes. What a precious place this is. Mmm, truly precious. So many overlapping conversations happening here… “You’re another one of the fighters Merukimon hasassembled.” We heard earlier that he protects this town. “… a warrior with a heart of gold andincredible agility.” Is this a team-up flag? Are we going to fight together? Deputymon Wait, are they playing the card game? Card Game—whoa! (Hara P) You can battle with cards, but today, time-wise… Yeah, not for today. Not the time for that right now. I’d spend like two hours here. (Hara P) Deeper inside, Merukimon is waiting on his throne. Whoa, already seated on his throne! Garurumon, WereGarurumon— “Lord Merukimon, just give me a moment of you time!” Wait, we can only see his thighs! Let me adjust the angle— Merukimon: “I will investigate the situation here, and then I will join you, but, for now, please go to the Central Tower without me. To reach the Central Tower, exit the base and proceed right.
進むといけると My subordinates ought to be there, so you should find it.” So that’s the next objective? (Hara P) Yes, please proceed to Central Tower. (Hara P) Simply exit the tavern and head right. Should I ask him again? I’ll just ask you, Hara-san. Right now, you’re basically my Merukimon. Hara-kimon. So I head right, correct? (Hara P) That’s right. Can’t go right. (Hara P) Go straight, then right. Straight it is. I’m a very obedient Digimon, you know. (Hara P) If you tap R1 quickly, you can DigiRide smoothly. Quick tap, got it. (Hara P) Short tap—hmm? Can’t do it? Not yet… Quick tap… Okay, got it! Yes! (Hara P) The destination is marked with a green icon. Very helpful, since I tend to get lost easily. Ah, these two are so precious — Arukenimon and Mummymon. They keep mentioning the Titans! (Hara P) Yes, the Titan is a faction that, simply put, is an enemy organization in this world. They’re even saying, “Evacuate! Evacuate!” Ah, I love this one too — Bearmon! They’re really trying to make me take all sorts of detours. Oh, it’s Pegasusmon! ”
“”I’ll take you to the section that leads to the Central Tower.” Ruffians abound at your destination, so I do hope you’reprepared for a little danger. Are you ready?” Am I good to go? (Hara P) Yes, proceed. Off we go, then! “Hold on tight!” Thanks, Pegasusmon! (Hara P) From here, you’ll be able to battle. Alright. (Hara P) When you spot an enemy Digimon, (Hara P) press R2. (Hara P) R2 lets you perform a preemptive DigiAttack. Makes sense—preemptive strikes are key in battle. Is ToyAgumon an enemy too? (Hara P) Starting here, this area is populated with hostile Digimon. (Hara P) Enemy Digimon roam freely in this zone. One hit and it’s over! Whoa, I thought I’d accidentally knocked them out for good! And then— Did I just get attacked while zoning out? (Hara P) You took down ToyAgumon with your DigiAttack instantly, but it looks like Gazimon snuck up from the side. (Hara P) I think what just happened is that you got hit by a preemptive attack. I kinda felt that. I was looking at Hara-san’s face on screen, and suddenly—boom—I got hit. That’s not good, you know. (Hara P) In battles— (Hara P) Digimon are generally categorized into three attributes: Vaccine, Virus, and Data. (Hara P) These form a triangle of strengths and weaknesses. (Hara P) If you press the L2 button, (Hara P) you can check the enemy’s attribute. (Hara P) Gazimon is a Virus type. (Hara P) So using Vaccine against Virus will deal advantageous damage. (Hara P) Aegiomon is a Vaccine type, so it has the advantage here. (Hara P) If you select Attack— 200%! It was 50% just a moment ago. (Hara P) That’s right. Patamon is a Data type, so it was at a disadvantage earlier. I see. (Hara P) Aegiomon has the advantage, so it landed a big hit. Amazing! So that’s how you advance the battle by using these advantages. How about Shoutmon here? (Hara P) This Shoutmon is hostile. Hostile!? (Hara P) Yes, but since it’s in a box, it won’t attack you directly. Yay— Wait, it’s totally attacking me! I didn’t even do anything! (Hara P) If you bump into it— So I shouldn’t just casually go “Yay” and approach. This shows -50, so is it the same as before? (Hara P) If you check Shoutmon’s attribute, (Hara P) it’s a Data type. Virus is strong against Data. Got it. (Hara P) Patamon is at 100%. (Hara P) If you use skills, you can deal more efficient damage. Stun Beat Blow! (Hara P) That’s Stun Beat Blow—you shouted that before. Yes, I got to shout it! Does raising evasion help here? Deals damage to Titans So cool! But it’s “Resist”… (Hara P) Since the enemy is Data type… Training for the boss battle! (Hara P) This is how battles will proceed, (Hara P) so let’s jump into the boss fight already. We’re good? Got it! Let’s go! It’s finally time for the boss battle—getting excited! (Hara P) First, please open the menu screen. (Hara P) Then go to the Digimon setup screen. BaoHuckmon, Devimon… By balancing Vaccine, Data, and Virus— (Hara P) Yes, with a party of six, (Hara P) you’ll generally want two of each type, (Hara P) so you’re prepared to handle any enemy. (Hara P) And you’ll always have Aegiomon as a Vaccine type in the party. (Hara P) All right, let’s go. I’m heading in! Boss, here we come! The atmosphere’s getting heavy… very serious. “Is this… the communication device?” Yeah, looks like it. Look at my sis controlling the panels! “So I bet that means…” What do you mean!? Look at the clouds… This is complicated… Here comes Parrotmon! It’s flapping its wings like crazy! Whoa—it’s huge! Isn’t that a bit too huge!? Massive. Take a good look at this. Vaccine type. Giant Bird. Ultimate level. (Hara P) Since the enemy is Vaccine, using Data will deal effective damage. So Aegiomon isn’t optimal here. (Hara P) Right. The matchup is neutral for Aegiomon. I’ll try taunting. Why are you laughing? It’s a legit move! (Hara P) Most people usually start with Stun Beat Blow, so using Attract Echo here is quite the strategy. (Hara P) Excellent tactics. Right? Boosting evasion is always good. If they can’t hit you, you’ve got nothing to fear! Okay, let’s fire off Mega Flame. So cool! Nice—thank you! And then— (Hara P) We now know that Parrotmon is weak to fire. Is that what GOOD means? (Hara P) That’s correct. YES! (Hara P) Parrotmon first appeared as an enemy in the Digimon Adventure movie. (Hara P) It battled against Greymon. (Hara P) That fight was really memorable, very intense. Super intense, yeah. (Hara P) Maybe that’s why it’s weak to fire. I better not start thinking about yakitori because of all this fire talk… (Hara P) That might actually be part of the inspiration, who knows. Death Claw That’s one that I couldn’t remember in on of the previous quizzes. (Hara P) Unfortunately it’s a virus-type attack, so… (Hara P) it’s not very effective here. Not effective—got it. I see. (Hara P) So Digimon with poor matchups can either support (Hara P) or be swapped out for others better suited to the fight. Right now, Devimon isn’t contributing much… “(Hara P) Devimon is still quite strong, actually. (Hara P) It’s just that this particular matchup isn’t favorable this time. (Hara P) Let’s try Change. All right, excuse me—Change! (Hara P) Normally he’s really strong. Yes, very strong. What should we do? (Hara P) You can check their attributes by the icons here. (Hara P) The square icon means Data type. (Hara P) And ExVeemon is a bit special—it’s a Free type. (Hara P) Free type doesn’t follow the triangle matchup system. (Hara P) So it has no particular advantage or disadvantage. No weaknesses either. (Hara P) It’s a special attribute. Sounds good to me! All right, let’s go with ExVeemon. Change now. Thank you, Junko Noda (VA for Veemon in the anime)! Thank you! Now what? Should I fire off Vee Laser? It’s a wind attack, right? (Hara P) Depends on what the enemy’s weakness is. Should I switch? What would it be weak to? (Hara P) Let’s go back for a moment. (Hara P) Press L2. (Hara P) You can see that fire is a weakness. (Hara P) Dark is marked with a triangle, meaning it’s a bad matchup. (Hara P) So Devimon was quite disadvantageous here. He was useless! (Hara P) Well, he’s usually strong though. (Hara P) As you try different elements, you’ll gradually discover the weaknesses. Let’s test it out. But since it flies, wind probably won’t work well. Yeah, not very effective. (Hara P) This Parrotmon battle has a unique gimmick— You see lightning strikes happening. It’s shocking! (Hara P) Lightning strikes happen every few turns. (Hara P) If it hits you, you take damage. (Hara P) And if it hits Parrotmon, it actually heals him. Wait—what!? (Hara P) So you have to fight while dealing with that hazard. Got it. Not that I can really avoid it, but I’ll be careful. Even so, look—he recovers HP and his gauge is still high. “Parrotmon seems to recover…” some way to stop this? Tell me if you know, please. Please tell me! (Hara P) If you bring Digimon with mechanical or steel traits, (Hara P) the lightning will tend to target them instead. That means—Tankmon! (Hara P) Exactly! Wait—so ExVeemon isn’t ideal here. I don’t want to change Greymon either… Sorry Junko Noda, really sorry— I’m going with Tankmon here. And now Tankmon enters the field. (Hara P) If you check Tankmon’s skills— Whoa—amazing. (Hara P) It has very powerful skills, (Hara P) plus fire is a weakness for the enemy and Tankmon is a Data type. (Hara P) So it can deal extremely effective damage. It says 300%! Looks like it’s a two-turn move. I’ll be unable to act next turn, but let’s go all-out! I’ll show everyone this all-out attack. (Hara P) Thank you! Hyper Cannon—fire! Wow—GREAT! Amazing—GREAT! (Hara P) Even though Parrotmon has a lot of HP, (Hara P) you can deal huge damage like this with the right setup. (Hara P) So depending on the player’s strategy, (Hara P) the time it takes to defeat Parrotmon can vary quite a lot. While Hara-san was saying nice things, I totally missed an attack earlier. (Hara P) Well, that happens. It happens! It’s a special ability that lets a Digimon attack again. It triggers when you attack with skills or regular attacks. (Hara P) It only happens occasionally. (Hara P) When the circle converges in the center, press the X button. I’m bad at rhythm games, you know! Here it comes! (Hara P) And there it went… It’s too fast! (Hara P) Since it happens suddenly, (Hara P) even though it’s a command battle, you can’t let your guard down. When you talk about someone else’s mistake… It comes back to bite you. That’s karma. So let’s just encourage each other instead. Yeah, encouraging each other is the right approach. I’ve learned my lesson—you really can’t afford to zone out. Huh? What’s this? (Hara P) This is something unique to certain bosses. (Hara P) If you keep going, you’ll see what I mean. “We’d better do something! Let’s focus our attacks on those wings!” Got it! Wait, what’s going on!? (Hara P) For Parrotmon, you can target both its body and its head separately. (Hara P) See that white gauge above Parrotmon? (Hara P) If you can deplete it within a certain time, (Hara P) you’ll prevent it from unleashing a powerful special attack. Ah, and now fire shows a question mark! (Hara P) Yes, and here’s the tricky part— It changes! (Hara P) The weakness can change. The weakness changes! (Hara P) The attribute remains the same, but the elemental weakness can shift. Whoa! (Hara P) That was quite a hint, actually. So the weakness changes? Should we try water? Let’s see… Hey, GOOD! (Hara P) That’s correct. It’s ancient wisdom—water beats lightning! Then maybe I should just hit normally? (Hara P) Actually, water might not be the only one. Let’s try earth! (Hara P) All right, earth it is. Here we go! Oh, that didn’t work. (Hara P) Unfortunately, no effect here. Scary. Yeah, lightning doesn’t really conduct through earth. Let’s try plant next. (Hara P) That sounds good. Let’s go with plant! Attacking the head directly… How about this one? (Hara P) It might depend on the attribute now. Wait, wait—Sensei! (Hara P) At this point, I would recommend guarding. So we should guard now? (Hara P) Yes, I think guarding is the safest move. A serious attack is coming. But I’ll leave it up to you in the end. Guard, guard, guard, guard! Let’s defend! Look—Minervamon is guarding automatically too. Wait—I didn’t make it in time! Only one of them got the guard off. Incoming yakitori! Ouch! That was almost enough to defeat my Greymon! (Hara P) This is quite dangerous. Items? (Hara P) Yes, we’ve prepared plenty of items for you. Very generous! (Hara P) Absolutely. Use them freely! Let’s see—the one that heals everyone… (Hara P) HP Spray will heal the entire party. (Hara P) Normally it’s a rare item, but— (Hara P) Since you’re the Ambassador, we’ve stocked you up for this demo. That’s because I’m the Ambassador! (Hara P) That’s right. Use them freely! All right! A helping hand for Terri-suke who’s struggling with the boss! (Hara P) Actually, there’s one more Data-type monster you can bring in. (Hara P) I feel bad for Greymon, but— (Hara P) If you switch to Kyubimon, (Hara P) your party will be much more effective. Oh, torn between emotions and strength… (Hara P) Then let’s keep Greymon for now. No, it’s fine—I was just being dramatic. I love Kyubimon too, so let’s go with Kyubimon. (Hara P) Kyubimon has a special exclusive skill— (Hara P) It’s quite powerful against Parrotmon. Greymon was getting worn out anyway. (Hara P) Yes, and he was paralyzed too, so I thought he deserved a break. Wow—that’s super strong! (Hara P) Yes, very powerful. Why didn’t you tell me earlier!? (Hara P) I figured now was the right time to reveal it. (Hara P) For now, go ahead and attack. A further helping hand for Terri-suke… Huh? What’s this? Ah, here they come! Hara-kimon! (Hara P) Let’s call him Merukimon for now. Right, for now he’s Merukimon. (Hara P) Merukimon acts as our guide. The guide for Central Town! That’s right. “I will chase you to the very ends of the earth” So cool. He is supposed to be fast. “You best not blink!” Got it. “The moment you do…” So if I keep my eyes closed, will you crush them for me? “Come, Minervamon and dear guests. The battle begins!” Yes, let’s do this! I am the Digimon Ambassador. Isn’t it hype to have him fighting with us? So strong! I was struggling so much earlier… Amazing! Thank you for the assist! Let’s keep going! Fighting with all my heart! Things are getting tense now! (Hara P) It’s coming. (Hara P) But Merukimon is so strong— (Hara P) I think you can go ahead and attack the main body now. Got it — leave the head to Merukimon. Let him handle the head part. (Hara P) That should work out fine. Understood! Full assault! And finally… Ah, here we go! So strong—way too strong! Did that finish it? (Hara P) Your Cross Arts gauge is now full. (Hara P) Press R2 to activate Cross Arts Field— —a special move combining your Digivice and your Digimon’s power! (Hara P) It strengthens the entire party. Okay, I’m pressing it. Power-up! Oh, I saw this in the trailer! This is so hype! Let’s hit it with Fox Tail Inferno—what’ll happen? Terri-suke WIN! Amazing. And Devimon was still here! Yeah, it was really just a bad matchup for him. We did it though! (Hara P) That concludes the boss battle! Yes! Alright, so we’ve played through the game today. Strolling around was really fun! I kept getting sidetracked the whole time. With so many Digimon around, I could spend all day talking to them and still run out of time. And we’re still just getting started in Central Town. There must be plenty more Digimon out there. Remember the forest area? We saw them way back in the trailer. And we haven’t even gone to the ocean yet. There might even be places to explore in the sky too—so much to look forward to! It really makes me wish the game would release sooner. Also, the battles felt way more strategic this time. The attack strength really changes depending on the Digimon you use. When I kept getting RESIST, things barely moved forward.
なかったけど But the moment I got a GREAT, I got super excited! It’s tough for the first person to play through. I usually rely on strategy guides a bit, you know? And when I do that, it all feels kind of easy. But I really want to cheer on the brave pioneers who charge through first! And with that, it’s time to wrap things up. Please subscribe to the channel and give us a like! In the comments, let us know which scenes or features you’re most looking forward to in Digimon Story Time Stranger! And be sure to post your thoughts, reactions, and anything else on X using #HelloTerriLab! Now, I’ll say farewell with this phrase. We saw a lot of finishing moves today, but I choose this one! Death Claw Devimon, shall we call it a day? Bye-bye!
