Let’s Play Dress Up- It’s A Costume Party (and more)!
this is how you know that you’re in the middle of getting ready to get a show up because I have a cup from every drive-thru that there is inside of my car i have water bottles rolling around in the back seat this is the sure sign because there’s like dust right there on my console and that drives me insane there’s little pieces of gravel in the floorboard that drives me insane i got to fix this and yet what did I just do i just went through another drive-thru yeah I did [Music] the day starts as most do we got to get ourselves fueled up for a full day so what better way than to just stop at Old Reliable wondered if Snoopy’s ever had Chick-fil-A maybe that’s why he dances so well he’s got the happy chicken dance in him thanks Chick-fil-A this video or show is not sponsored or endorsed by but we still appreciate you and then the time comes when you leave Costume World and everybody gets a liner brush because whoever’s stupid idea was to outline this entire set all hands on deck literally charity’s painting a pillow we got the little trees on Mount Rushmore that’s fun grayson made the bed head for the bed the bed head the bed post and Grayson’s over there cutting out bones grayson also planted our grass today so it all stands up and we can have a whole little line of grass all along the back of the stage happy little grass kites done just have to hang them up now so they can fly in the air oh well I take that back we have to make their tails they have to have little ribbon tails but if you notice Charlie Brown’s has a little signature motif there so that way we know which kite belongs to Charlie Brown [Music] [Music] every now and then you have these little hiccups and the computer which is the brains behind the sound and the lighting for the show pretty much everything else we use um fried yesterday so it’s emergency stop found one that we needed to replace it about an hour away so we’re going to grab that then we’re going to go back then we’re going to get everything going just part of the day hey thank you Best Buy thank you package obtained what a whirlwind morning but we can move on now last steps joel adds all the little background screens

and then we should have a full dress rehearsal tonight hair wigs hair and wigs hair wigs makeup costumes socks shoes backgrounds lighting everything it’s amazing how it all seems to work out isn’t it everybody Everybody’s like “It’ll work out it’ll work out it works out because there’s people here for hours and hours pressing buttons and sewing buttons and hot gluing buttons
and pushing buttons
and pushing buttons.” But it looks nice
you’ve done a nice job on that
it’s really pretty this is my second most favorite part of a show when everything’s done and now we have just a couple of hours before our first full dress you know my first part
what the very beginning when we’re deciding what things are going to look like what the ideas and the concepts are going to be
no then my second favorite part my third favorite part let me say that is when we take our last bow and everything went like it was supposed to
yeah that’s a good feeling
mhm there’s no other way to describe that feeling is there when like you’ve done this for so many weeks and then you take that last bow and it’s like I’ve never taken drugs before but I imagine that’s what it feels like the high that people get it’s like
it’s like a really it’s like a really off your shoulders
a really good feeling of like we did it we did it i think theater is all the drugs I need yes and we do have quite the addiction to it
yeah I’d say so
we do have a couple of addictions we have theater we have Disney World we have
backpacks backpacks joel and Grayson have electronics
uhhuh but yeah you know what’s so amazing though is our addictions aren’t harmful really to anyone our addiction brings joy to people
that’s true
i’m kind of excited for tonight now
yeah I am too i’m anxious to see what everyone looks like in their wigs
me too
i think we’re going to lot get
I think we’re going to get a lot of good laughs
i think so too this is our celebratory meal because we have everything done now all we have to do is show up and do the show and maintain it kind of like you in life you just need to maintain it and all will be good [Music] let’s pick out who’s the loudest one in the group we’re gravitating towards this end of the table for loudness e so are you saying the Legally Blonde world and the Peanuts characters world are the same world

i said that would explain why we were so mean doctor lipstick at like seven right and then Shann was supposed to be the previous owner of right why did she get rid of him i want to know who was you this is what I heard interesting i didn’t know that
you got rid of people well he’s kind of a lot he is very much a diva and a laser
i haven’t gotten rid of you there’s there’s some deep cuts into this Peanut store yes

I mean in a completely it’s like it makes the Hobbit look like and Lord of the Rings look
it makes it look like just nothing but shallowess i didn’t no I think my I think my character’s pretty much in the text see you blockheads Friday

nikki has to jump rope on stage for like 3 minutes so she’s over here practicing building up her stamina i love it before we start rehearsals and everything’s all hung up all nice and neat and it’s clean and everything is just I just love labels i love things in their space i love all the hangers and labels going in the same direction there’s no sweat stains yet
yet i just love it when everything’s facing the right direction [Music] and it’s all pretty usually you can have a great show it almost always happens you can have a great show and then first time they put on their costumes all chaos breaks loose i mean we’ve been rehearsing in clothes just our own clothes just not the costumes that we normally wear so the first time we put on those costumes everybody goes nuts it’s like they don’t remember how to walk or what their words are or I don’t know it’s just crazy that one time but alas usually by the second or third rehearsal everything’s worked back out to like it was about time to get this show out on this stage in front of people in all its glory let’s see what happens heat heat [Music] [Music] heat up here [Music] and just like the Energizer Bunny she keeps going and going and going this is what Nikki does before every rehearsal she practices her jump rope i try to get my heart rate up so I don’t pass out and it works listen to me and I just ate a cheeseburger and French fries that was so smart heat [Music] [Music] heat [Music]
