He Secretly Trained For 20 Years To Become The Strongest Mage anime recap episode 3
The story opens with a young man, Rio, waking up to discover the books in a knife laid out on the table before him. He exits the house and starts experimenting with his newfound ability to manipulate water. Abruptly, he’s transported to an unfamiliar location, prompting him to ask himself. Bewildered, “Where am I?” An angel then materializes and inquires whether he is Rio. Upon confirming his identity, the angel expresses his delight, mentioning it had been a while since he’d received a visitor and how pleased he was to finally meet him. The angel then discloses a harsh truth. Rio had perished in an accident. The memories of the accident flood back to Rio, confirming the angel’s words. However, Rio responds by stating that he knows he will be resurrected, but remains uncertain about his purpose. The angel calmly advises him to simply do as he pleases as he hasn’t been assigned any particular task. This surprises Rio, who then pauses, contemplates for a few moments, and declares his desire for a peaceful existence. The angel clarifies that he will be returned to Fay, a world abundant with magic where roughly a fifth of the population possesses magical aptitude. He informs him that he will wield water-based magic due to its compatibility with him and in accordance with his wish for a quiet life will be sent back to the Rondo forest. The angel indicates that their sustenance located inside a small cabin sufficient for approximately 2 months. Rio is taken aback that the food is preserved within an ice structure, but the angel explains that this serves as a defensive measure, warding off monsters from the provisions. Once settled in his new abode, Rio immerses himself in the monster books. Seeking to familiarize himself with the creatures, he’s astonished that despite being written in an unfamiliar language, he comprehends them effortlessly. Venturing outside, he commences practicing his water element abilities, reasoning that he might activate his powers merely by visualizing them without the need for verbal incantations. Returning inside, he proceeds to fill a bathtub with water, but its temperature matches that of the surrounding air, he then wishes for the water to be warmer, longing for a hot bath, going outdoors, he gathers firewood in an attempt to start a fire, but his efforts prove feudal, leaving him physically drained. He recines on the ground and resumes thinking. He retrieves a bowl of water and attempts to freeze it, but this also fails. He reflects on the difficulty, realizing he needs to understand how to create ice. He also hopes he could cast an ice spear spell. He concentrates on compressing the water to eliminate its heat, visualizing the water molecules and contemplating whether he can bind the oxygen and hydrogen. Eventually, he manages to freeze the water by manipulating the hydrogen bonds and realizes he can likely mold it as he wishes. He then utilizes the ice to ignite the firewood filling him with elation. He enters the dwelling and indulges in the desired hot bath. Experiencing profound relaxation. His initial day was productive and he feels he can now generate warm water in the same fashion. He considers magic to be highly practical. The subsequent day he starts consuming the food prepared by the angel. Rio recalls that the supplies will only last 2 months prompting him to consider hunting before they deplete. He understands that the forest lies outside the protective barrier, thus harboring numerous monsters and that the knife he possesses will be inadequate for hunting them. He’ll require offensive magic as well. He believes it’s best to begin training so he can live a peaceful and secure life. He goes out and resumes his training. He casts a water ball which thrills him as it represents his first successful offensive spell, yet it lacks considerable force. He surmises this makes sense but perseveres, noting he has a few more ideas. He recognizes the inadequacy of the water bowl and decides to try a water gun, hoping it will prove more effective. He narrows the opening to produce a high velocity stream, but upon release, the stream fails to reach the tree, resulting in a feeble impact that leaves him dispirited. He revisits the angel and seeks guidance on the correct application of magic. The angel elucidates that the basis of magic lies in imagination and that one must possess a precise concept of the intended outcome followed by the accumulation of experience over time. Rio goes back to the forest and uses his magic as the angel suggested, noticing a distinct improvement. He enters his house and successfully fills the tub with hot water by using the reverse of the ice spell. The following day, he begins practicing conjuring ice from the air, which succeeds, albeit slowly, indicating progress. This leads him toward his aim of ice magic. He conjures an ice spear, but struggles to propel it far. He observes that launching it isn’t as simple as launching water, but he resolves to practice it until he perfects it. Just as he mastered launching water balls, he attempts again to launch ice arrows, but fails after significant exertion, feeling as though he’s about to faint from excessive mana depletion. He re-enters his house and attempts to ignite a fire, but fails due to the lack of sunlight, posing a new challenge. The next day, he resumes his training with the ice arrows. After several days, he manages to form an ice arrow, but cannot launch it effectively. Instead, he crafted a spear and ventured out. He moved to the area of the forest outside the barrier, where there were also footprints of enormous creatures. He approached the river and spotted a piece of flint on the bank. Thinking he could now create a fire even after dark, now he needed to gather some medicinal plants, and the day’s trip would be a success. All of a sudden, a massive creature showed up behind him. Rio detected it, pivoted, and found himself paralyzed with fear at the sight of a wild boar. He stood still, unable to move. The boar then charged. As it drew near, Rio recalled his accident and dodged just before the boar could strike him. The boar attacked again, but Rio told himself that even if he couldn’t move, he could still employ his magic. He used his ice magic in the boar’s path, causing it to lose its footing and fall. He then summoned ice arrows, which the boar collided with, ending its life. Rio felt a sense of relief. We then cut to Rio’s dwelling, where he prepared the boar’s hide to use as clothing. Rio effectively started a fire in the house without the aid of sunlight and began studying the monster guide. He discovered that the boar he had slain was a lesser wild boar classified as among the weakest. The monster manual was designed for noviceses, but it mentioned the final couple of pages comprised a unique addition. He learned that a lone dragon could effortlessly raise an entire city and that one should evacuate immediately upon encountering them. Real reason that this made sense as he would be destroyed if he ever faced one. He then examined the next monster known as Akuma which was described as not a fallen angel. An annotation expressed the hope that one would never encounter them. At that moment, Rio grasped the immensity of the world due to the sheer quantity of these monsters. The following day, Rio removed his garments and entered the woods. He began gathering and tasting fruit, savoring it while dressed in his burer attire. While he was going around the forest again, a large bird came at him. Rio managed to evade its grasp. It was a bird of great power, capable of felling trees. Rio began to flee, obstructing its path with sheets of ice. He figured this bird employed a subtle form of magic offensive wine, but its primary weapons were its charge and the strikes of its sharp talons and beak. He couldn’t escape it. Rio stopped and shot some water arrows at the bird, but it dodged every one of them. As it closed in, Rio erected an ice barrier to prevent injury, causing the bird to crash into it and plummet to the ground. Rio drew closer, aiming his weapon at the bird, but it swiftly took flight. Presuming Rio intended to kill it. While airborne, Rio observed a wound on the bird’s eye, which caused it to veer away from Rio’s trajectory, Rio lay on the ground. Realizing that a tranquil life was more challenging than he had anticipated. As night fell, he found himself lost in the forest. Having lost his bearings while fleeing from the bird, he started walking, believing he was on the correct path. But then he saw Lake with a headless body and a horse which surprised him. The next day, Rio was again moving through the forest, continuing to fell monsters with his ice arrows and using his spear to catch fish, he went back to his home and put aside a stock of fish, then started practice with his ice sheets. He went to the river and dove deep. Running into a huge octopus that pursued him out of the water, he then used his water magic to split stones and felt happy that he succeeded. He imagined that if he used magic to make the ice harder, it would be used as an abrasive material. He thought he was mastering his magic. We cut back to the headless body, which Rio was confronting. Rio told himself the monster guide mentioned nothing of Delahan monsters and thought it must be too advanced to be in the beginner’s book. He didn’t care and attacked, landing several blows, but missing. The monster hit Rio with a strike and almost finished him off with the next one, but Rio dodged. He thought he had it. Rio was struck and knocked to the ground. He felt exhausted and thought he had no chance left. But there was a reason it came to this place every night. He saw that this monster wanted to tell him it would train him until he reached the required level. The monster then showed him a sword made of water which astonished Rio. It approached and gave it to him. Rio thought it was asking him to master it well. He took it surprised and the monster then went away. Rio moved to the forest again and faced the bird once more. He saw the scratch on its eye but its color had become darker. He wondered if it had evolved. The bird launched a wind attack, but Rio blocked it by creating ice barriers. He was surprised when the barriers were destroyed. He ran, blocking its attacks until the bird attacked him. Rio created ice barriers, but the bird shattered them. Rio kept creating ice barriers and also tried using ice arrows, but they didn’t hit the bird at all. The bird got rid of the ice barriers using its sound power and attacked, but Rio dodged. Amazed by the bird’s evolved power. Rio then took a lightning fast attack that threw him to the ground. The bird was about to snatch him with its talons, but Rio blocked it with a sword. The bird appeared behind him and launched a wind attack, but Rio blocked it well. The bird flew high, preparing to attack and dive quickly, but Rio stabbed the bird with his sword, causing it to fall. Rio approached, thinking it had come back for revenge because he had wounded its eye. He asked it to help him in his quest for progress and said he wanted to become stronger. He thanked it for making him feel better. He pulled apart of the sword from the bird’s body and told that he knew it had evolved to pay him back in kind, but he would finish it here and show it respect. A dragon appeared in the sky and landed in front of Rio, which surprised him. He was surprised again when the dragon spoke to him. The dragon told him it had been a long time since he used telepathy and wasn’t sure if it worked. Rio wondered about telepathy. The dragon asked if he had met a bird that had evolved from a killer hawk. Rio said he had been asked. It wasn’t your subordinate, was it? He told him that if it was his subordinate, he was sorry for killing it. The dragon understood he had finished it off and told him it was amazing work. Noticing he was carrying a rare weapon, Rio showed him the weapon and the dragon told him that this weapon belonged to the king of the fairies. And since he gave it to him, Rio must have done something worthy of possessing it. Rio wanted to ask the dragon several questions. The dragon said he had to go. Rio told him he knew that and that he appreciated everything he had told him. But before the dragon left, he asked for its name. The dragon told him his name was lone and flew high. Rio never expected to talk to a dragon and that he expected anything in a fantasy world like this. We then cut to the angel who thought he had overlooked something. He saw that Rio had a hidden advantage. But he was puzzled by this because the last person who had this advantage was a girl he had sent to another world 10,000 years ago. But in Rio’s case, his hidden advantage is eternal youth. Rio journeyed to the shoreline, intending to gather some shellfish, only to be taken aback by the grim spectacle before him. Two soldiers lay prone. Victims of an attack by one of the aquatic beasts rumored did well in the area. Their ship had been shattered, leading to their unfortunate demise by drowning. A faint groan reached Rio’s ears, causing him to jump. A change of scenery brings us to Rio’s humble abode, where one of the wounded soldiers had been carefully transported. The soldier regained consciousness, instinctively clutching a necklace of considerable importance. Disoriented, he questioned his whereabouts before venturing outside to explore his unfamiliar surroundings. Suddenly, Rio materialized behind him, startling the soldier, who had been unable to detect his presence and struggled to describe him due to his simple attire. He inwardly remarked that this wasn’t the individual he was expecting to confide in about the incident. The soldier, identifying himself as able, conveyed his gratitude for the rescue. Rio, however, downplayed his role, stating that he had merely provided shelter in his home. He then somberly informed Abel that he was the sole survivor of his company. Abel admitted their involvement in smuggling activities, urging Rio not to concern himself with them, a revelation that caught Rio offg guard. Overcome by hunger, Abel gratefully accepted Rio’s offer of food and conversation, acknowledging its benefit to his recovery. Following this, Rio introduced himself. Abel inquired about spare garments, only to learn that Rio possessed neither robes nor the materials to create clothing, and furthermore lacked any sewing skills. He hesitated to ask if Rio could purchase some, realizing that if Rio possessed the means, he would likely have already secured his own necessities, regretting his potential insult. Abel considered the absence of a nearby town or community, it dawned on him that Rio likely procured his sustenance through his own efforts, prompting him to inquire about the knife’s use in hunting. Rio clarified that it served dual purposes, salt defense and the preparation of his catch. He then demonstrated his ability to conjure water, identifying himself as a water mage, an act that filled Abel with oil. Abel mentioned that only about half the population could perform this. Even in the more developed central territories, he himself lacked this ability, a detail that surprised Rio, who recalled the king stating only 20% could do that. Subsequently, Abel requested Rio to escort him back to the coast, seeking to investigate something. As Ael walked towards the shore, Abel wondered if Rio possessed a staff, a common accessory for mages. But Rio revealed he did not. Abel silently chided himself for making another assumption based on Rio’s apparent poverty. Assuming he had no more than his death, Abel then suggested that Rio take the lead, enabling him to react to any potential threats. While Abel remained behind, Rio declined this offer, but Abel, eager to repay Rio’s kindness and avoid appearing perpetually reliant on rescue, pressed forward. Relenting, Rio agreed, stating he would trust Abel’s judgment. Upon reaching the coast, they found the bodies had vanished. They began searching, speculating that the remains might have been consumed by scavengers or swept away by the tide. Abel mused that he could have suffered a similar fate were it not for Rio’s timely intervention. Rio concurred, acknowledging Abel’s good fortune, a thought that lingered in Abel’s mind. Abel then requested Rio to dispense with formalities, explaining that he felt uncomfortable addressing his rescuer as sir. Rio explained his politeness stem from assuming Abel was older. But seeing his point, he agreed to simply call him Abel. Grateful, Abel explained that he treated his friends this way, preferring such informality. This unexpected declaration of friendship surprised Rio, who glanced upward, recalling a prophecy made by the angel. Abel concluded his search of the wreckage. Finding nothing, Rio inquired about Abel’s next course of action. Abel expressed his desire to reunite with his companions, suggesting the town of Lon as a potential starting point. However, he suspected they had drifted far south. Rio was unfamiliar with Lon’s location, but believed reaching it would involve a lengthy journey northward. Abel recognized the need for thorough preparation, then inquired if Rio would consider joining him. Taken aback by the sudden invitation, Rio hesitated. Abel implored Rio to consider his plea, emphasizing his need for guidance in this unfamiliar territory, lacking both knowledge of his current location and the route to loon. Rio agreed, but requested time to prepare, proposing to depart the following day and confirmed he would serve as his guide and offer that delighted Abel. He extended his hand in gratitude, and the scene shifted back to Rio’s dwelling. After streamlining his simple existence, he resolved to introduce some excitement into his life. Re-entering the house, he informed Abel of his intention to bid farewell to someone. Abel was surprised that he was going to say goodbye at this time, but Rio explained that he only saw this person at this time and wanted to inform him that he would be gone for a while. Abel advised Rio to exercise caution, suspecting he was visiting someone dear given his earlier comment about living alone. Rio then sought out the fairy king, informing him of his departure the following day, expressing gratitude for his life-saving assistance. He proclaimed that this would be their final contest. Dying to fight with renewed vigor, he then launched an attack on the fairy king, engaging in a series of swift and powerful exchanges. After a period of intense combat, Rio felt utterly drained. As the fairy king prepared to depart, Rio offered a final expression of gratitude. The fairy king responded by conjuring a large water orb, drawing it closer to Rio. Within the orb, Rio glimpsed a warrior’s attire, eliciting a sense of joy. He promised the fairy king he would wear it with pride before the fairy king vanished. The following morning, Abel awaited Rio’s arrival. Soon witnessing him emerge adorned in his new garb, ready to depart. After moving away from his home, Rio looked back with a longing glance and then continued walking through the forest during their trek, they encountered a wild beast, prompting Abel to instruct Rio to remain behind while he intervened. Abel and she his sword and charged, delivering a fatal blow, a display of swordsmanship that impressed Rio. Rio inquired about Abel’s combat prowess, acknowledging that mages typically lack such skills. Abel explained that his techniques resembled those employed by swordsmen and other weapon wielding fighters, a concept Rio understood. As night descended, they sought refuge in the branches of a tree. The next day, they resumed their journey until they reached a lake teameming with lizards. Abel, considering their formidable aquatic capabilities, suggested taking an alternate path through the forest. As they progressed, Rio sensed the lizards approaching and alerted Abel. Abel recognized the need for preparedness and that Rio would supplement his efforts with magic given the sheer number of adversaries. As Abel moved to warn Rio about his lack of a staff, Rio unleashed a flurry of ice arrows, decimating the lizards. He then warned Abel of a larger contingent approaching. After eliminating the remaining lizards, Abel inquired about the nature of Rio’s spell. Rio identified it as a water spell capable of conjuring ice arrows, but Abel was astonished to see Rio creating for arrows simultaneously. His prior experience led him to believe arrows were cast individually unlike Rio. This was what he knew about the wind wizard he knew, but Rio thought that things might be different with wind magic, but it was normal with water magic. Abel found it strange, but didn’t care and asked Rio to keep moving. However, Rio showed him a cup of water, saying they needed to drink before moving. Abel was surprised again and asked Rio why the spell he cast earlier, create water, had changed now. This surprised Rio who told Abel he was just imagining things and then left. After that, Abel used a coin to find directions and they started walking towards the path to Lawn. Rio was surprised because it was his first time seeing a coin. Abel explained that it was a bronze flooring used in the kingdom of Nightly where Lawn was located. Rio liked the name Nightly very much. Abel told him that in the central provinces, each region minted its own coins, but they all used the same denominations. Rio asked if the kingdom of Nightly was part of the central provinces. Abel told him it was one of three main states. The other two were the state of Doui and the Hendalio Federation. Rio was surprised by the state of Doui and Abel asked Rio if he had a problem with it, but Rio just didn’t like the name from the start. Abel figured this was what worried Rio as they moved to open terrain. There was a quantity of stones. Abel countered an attack from them and split them in half. Then Rio conjured an ice barrier to counter them too, but they became surrounded by the stones. Abel speculated they were now in a stone golem’s nest. Then Abel asked Rio to stay put and that he would deal with the nearby ones. He charged to attack and delivered a powerful blow that penetrated the stone monster, but the monster was unaffected and its wound healed immediately. Abel saw no use in this, but Rio wanted to try and attack. Then Rio conjured an ice wall of 10 layers, which eliminated the stone monsters. Rio found kinetic weapons very terrifying. Abel greatly astonished asked Rio what was that. Rio told him he had dealt with two monsters and would use the same spell on the rest of the monsters. Then they approached one of the monsters but it didn’t move and had a magic stone. Rio saw that this was now theirs. A spoil of war for them and he wanted to collect them from the other stones too but this was not possible now. Then they moved to another place and on their way there was a huge hippopotamus. On the way to the hippopotamus, there was a group of wyverns. But the hippopotamus prepared well for the wyverns, and the wyverns delivered several blows to the hippopotamus. But the hippopotamus unleashed sound waves on them that eliminated them, which amazed Abel and Rio. Rio was very excited about this. Then night fell upon them, and they lit a fire. Abel was surprised by the anti-agic spell the hippopotamus had cast, and that he had heard of such an effect from dangers in the abyss. Rio was very interested in the abyss and wanted to discover one of them. But Abel told him he was lucky because there was an abyss and lawn in the central provinces. Rio was annoyed that this had been kept from him. But this was not Abel’s intention at all as he didn’t know Rio was interested in the abyss at all. Rio asked Abel, “Are there other things you forgot to tell me?” Abel told him, “I think you know about dwarves and elves, don’t you?” But Rio asked Abel to tell him the details. Then Abel explained that dwarves are skilled craftsmen and fierce fighters and there is a group of them in lawn but there aren’t many elves in lawn because they live in the forest and don’t want to live outside of it. Rio understood this and that he had also thought the same. The next day they wore the clothes of the monster they had hunted. Rio said that after they crossed these mountains they would meet human lands and Abel confirmed this and asked Rio where do you get this information? Rio remembered his previous conversation with the dragon about the existence of another continent. The dragon had told him then that this land was surrounded by the sea from the east, west, and south, and to its north was a mountain range that separated it from the adjacent continent. So, it was unlikely to encounter any humans coming from the south of their lands in the north. Then he returned to the present and told Abel that it was better not to know where he got his information and told him that it might be knowledge beyond human comprehension. Then they continued walking, but they heard a sound coming from the middle of the mountains. Then a bird monster appeared to them and Abel felt extreme fear but Rio threw food to the monster and Abel did the same which led the monster to pick up the food and fly away. Rio was pleased that they had succeeded in this and so was Abel. Then they continued moving but Abel saw that this monster left an unforgettable impression on them and Rio thought they would have been in danger if they had fought it. But Abel saw that humans were not created to fight such monsters and there had been no reported encounters with behemoths and griffins for centuries. He believed there was something wrong in this place. But Rio felt that Abel was hurting him with his words and saw that humans were the ones who didn’t make enough effort. But Abel wondered why they should make enough effort for what? Then they were in the north and Rio thought the wyverns came from the north until they found some of them. But Abel didn’t want this and wondered what they would do. But Rio expected they would fight. But Abel saw that the wyverns were much stronger than them and it was difficult for only the two of them to face them because hunting them required 10 very strong adventurers. And even then there were casualties. But Rio felt that they would face a fair number of them and might not be able to avoid fighting. He asked, “Wouldn’t it have been easier to fight it while it was preoccupied on the ground?” Abel thought so too and that he would be able to reach it with his sword. Then Rio advanced towards them to settle the matter and Abel followed him. Then Rio used the ice arrow spell when the wyverns were hit by the ice arrows. Abel immediately attacked until other monsters appeared and attacked Abel, but he dodged their blows. Then Rio also threw arrows at them and successfully hit them when they also fell. Rio asked Abel to go and retrieve their magic stones. Abel thought this was very easy, but he asked Rio if he expected a decisive battle that would make his heart race. But Abel didn’t want this at all and asked Rio to stick to their plan because it was perfect. But Rio had no objection as long as Abel was satisfied with it. But another group of wyverns appeared heading towards them. But Abel was not afraid this time and asked Rio to eliminate this group as well. Rio saw that Abel was addicted to battles. But Abel wasn’t like that. But these monsters were blocking their way. They would fight them now or later. He attacked and Rio followed him. After that, they continued walking until they felt happy because they had reached the place they wanted. Rio and Abel proceeded along their journey toward the city of Lawn. Rio mused that he was rather enjoying the extermination of the wyvern monsters, but Able cautioned him to maintain quiet as it would be preferable to avoid further encounters. Regardless of their accumulation of stones, an unexpected reward of sorts, they paused to ascertain their precise location with Rio expressing a hope that they weren’t near. Abel reassured him that such a scenario was unlikely, as they were considerably further north than the kingdom, a notion that put Rio at ease. Abel found Rio’s aversion to Deoi somewhat curious, but Rio clarified that it wasn’t the town itself he disliked, but rather its designation. Abel then pointed out a road stretching east to west, and gazing toward the mountains at his side, indicated that following this path would lead them to the town of Ca, Rio was elated at the prospect of a nearby town, confessing a strong desire for a comfortable bed. Abel had thought his companion was simply eager to dispatch more wyverns. But Rio clarified that the two desires were separate. They resumed their trek. Abel admitting to a need for a rest himself along with a craving for the town’s reportedly dectable cuisine. They eventually made their way to the tavern. Abel suggested that Rio register at the Adventurers’s Guild, explaining that a guild card served as proof of identity and could wave entry fees in various cities and countries. Upon their arrival here, Abel had vouched for him and covered the expense with silver coins. Rio joked that Abel’s expenditure of a silver coin essentially meant he was now in Abel’s service, but Abel dismissed the notion as absurd. Rio then recalled that Abel was a man of standing who did not quibble over trivial sums, for which Rio expressed his heartfelt gratitude, a sentiment that Abel found slightly peculiar. He detailed another perk of guild membership, namely the acquisition of fair prices for stones and monster components. Though a knowledge of chemistry would be beneficial for maximizing profits. Just then, the waitress brought them their meal. a site that visibly surprised Rio. Abel inquired about the food’s quality, emphasizing its deliciousness. Rio was astounded to find curry and rice on the menu, remarking internally that curry was a crucial element of any reincarnation narrative. He continued to express his wonder for quite some time. Abel, taken aback, asked if something was a miss, but Rio, prone to talking to himself, brushed it off and told him not to worry. Abel then urged him to commence eating. And Rio after a taste became quite fond of the curry consuming it rapidly. Abel told him he could order more if he wanted and when Rio finished he asked the waitress for more. Abel then wondered aloud if curry was available in the city of lawn to which Abel responded that it could be enjoyed there anytime in abundance. A revelation that brought Abel pleasure as he liked that Rio was enjoying the curry. The following day they journeyied onward. Rio expressing his genuine enjoyment of the curry which pleased Abel. Rio however suspected that Abel was keeping yet another secret and questioned if there were any other significant details he hadn’t divulged. He then confessed a love for sweets urging Abel to reveal the location of the sweetest town a place renowned for its confectionaries. Abel said he would consider it and they resumed walking. They then reclined on the ground consumed some sustenance and continued afterward. The city of law came into view prompting Abel to identify it as the city nestled amid sweet fields. As they approached the city’s perimeter, the city guard recognized Abel and expressed his surprise at seeing him. Abel greeted him in return, and the guard remarked that Abel had been reported missing. Abel confirmed that he had indeed been absent, but was fortunate enough to have been revived thanks to Rio. The guard then expressed his gratitude to Rio for saving Abel, shaking his hand firmly. Abel presented the guard with another metal coin to facilitate Rio’s entry into the city and showed him his guild card. The guard welcomed Abel and inquired if he would be heading directly to the guild. Rio was pleased that Abel was returning to his home. Upon entering the city, Abel determined that their first order of business should be to register Rio at the guild. He mentioned that Rio would likely begin at rank F. Though with the endorsement of an adventurer rank B or higher, he could potentially start at rank E or D. Rio assumed that Abel held a rank superior to be and felt a sense of pride at this thought. But Abel wasn’t sure about this. He explained to Rio that as his rank increased, he would be eligible for more challenging and lucrative missions, recommending that he pursue such opportunities, as he would undoubtedly require the funds. Rio asked if these items were truly valuable, but Abel clarified that they were far rarer than Rio imagined, and selling them all at once might destabilize the market, though he was confident that the guild leader would devise a solution. They arrived at the guild and went inside, eliciting gasps of surprise at Abel’s reappearance. Happiness spreading throughout the assembly of adventures, they hurried over to welcome him a effusively, demonstrating the extent of his popularity, a sight that amazed Rio. However, he moved aside to avoid impeding anyone’s progress and kept to himself until Abel was finished. He encountered one of the women who regarded him with intense curiosity, noting that his attire resembled that of a fairy king, an observation that had caught her eye. She told him that it surely had his approval and declared him an intriguing character. She soon departed, citing unfinished business, but expressed her hope for a future encounter. Abel emerged from the guild, seeking Rio, and requested his presence inside. Entering the guild again, Abel introduced Rio to the assembled adventurers as the individual responsible for saving his life, adding that he would be registering as an adventurer and asking them to welcome him. Rio stepped forward to greet the adventurers, who responded in kind, expressing their gratitude for his role at Abel’s rescue, which made Rio happy. They approached a desk employee where Abel requested that Rio be registered, asserting that he should be registered at rank Due to Abel’s endorsement. The employee was taken aback by Abel’s endorsement of Rio, as no one from the Crimson Sword team had ever vouched for anyone previously, but Abel was sure Rio was strong. The employee had no reservations about accepting his endorsement, but the process required some confirmation of physical prowess, though Abel expressed a desire to discuss this matter along with other unrelated issues with the guild leader. The employee confirmed that she would summon him for them and asked them to wait in the waiting room. They relocated to the waiting room where the leader entered. Visibly concerned for Abel. He expressed his relief at Abel’s well-being and Abel apologized for causing him such worrying. Though the leader claimed that the lack of news from Abel had nearly given him a heart attack. He asked, “Is this the mage?” Abel introduced Rio to the leader as his savior. The leader introduced himself to Rio as Hugh and thanked Rio for rescuing Abel. But Rio downplayed his involvement, stating that he had simply been in the right place at the right time. Abel then requested that the guild leader register Rio and elevate his starting rank, an endorsement that Hugh readily accepted. He said Rio must prove his strength, but Abel warned him against it because Rio was far stronger than himself, surprising Hugh. Abel then presented the stones they had gathered during their journey. Hugh was surprised to see that the green stones indicated the wind element due to their size and vivid coloring. He inquired with surprise. Are they from Wyverns? Abel’s confirmation only increased his astonishment, and he noted that such a quantity would typically require a substantial number of soldiers, if not an entire army. Abel was unconcerned as they had hunted these wyverns south of the mountains of doom, which surprised Hugh. Rio was taken aback to learn that those were the mountains of doom. And Abel explained that after discovering the road to Ca, he understood where they were. He added that he had traveled through these mountains and Rio felt that the name sounded ominous, but Hugh pointed out that few people ventured into the mountains of doom and emerged alive, and that ordinary citizens and adventurers alike avoided them without compelling reason, and now they were saying they had cross them. Abel then pressed Hugh as to whether this constituted sufficient proof to elevate Rio’s rank, which Hugh deemed more than adequate. The remaining members of Abel’s team arrived to check on him, and Abel thanked them for their concern. Hatro stated he would depart. As Abel had numerous discussions to conduct with his companions, and he instructed the employee to deliver Rio’s registration documents to his office for completion, Abel stopped him and said he would wait in the reception because he had something to show him. Rio accompanied Hugh to his office, and Hugh explained that these were Abel’s comrades, the other members of the Crimson Sora team that Abel had joined, the most popular and accomplished in town. Rio entered the office and asked Hugh if he would be registered at rank D. But Hugh said he knew Abel’s skills and could tell he wasn’t able to kill a wyvern alone and was confident in his qualification for the position because he found him a mage with physical build. Then employee Nenina came to them and brought registration tools and Hugh asked Nenah to explain to Rio how things worked while he would start handling the paperwork. Nenah introduced herself to Rio and welcomed him and Rio did the same. Nina inquired whether Rio was a magic user and upon learning that he was. She asked about his magical element to which Rio responded water, she inquired about his living arrangements, assuming that he hadn’t made any decisions yet as Rio had just arrived in town. Nina clarified that he was entitled to reside in the guild dormitories for the first 300 days after registration and asked him to keep it in mind. She then inquired whether he had previously explored any dungeons, but Rio indicated that he hadn’t. She said the guild offers an introductory dungeon exploration course every month and that adventurers gain knowledge and advice for surviving dungeons and real was very impressed by this. She then told him this course would start the day after tomorrow and registered him for it asking him to come at 9:00 and telling him about a clock in the town square to follow the time. She said the interview was over and it was time for the registration and asked him to place his hand on the crystal. Registration was completed and she showed him his card confirming he was officially registered. Nah left and Hugh felt a great sense of relief as the atmosphere had been somber since Abel’s disappearance and his return was a cause for celebration. They were indebted to Rio for his role in bringing him back and they should now spread the news of Abel’s return. Rio approached Abel and inquired about their next destination, but Abel was going to withdraw the money he owed for accompanying him and wanted to buy clothes and a staff for Rio. After arriving, Rio felt very grateful for him and wondered why this death. Abel expected that Rio being a mage didn’t use one, but Rio told him he could use magic without one and could also fight with a sword. Abel was surprised that Rio could use a sword, but didn’t have one, and Rio showed it to him. Abel was taken aback that this was a knife, but Rio wanted to ask Abel a question because he realized he had things he didn’t know and wondered what those things were. Rio went to sit alone and discovered that clothes were measured in centimeters, that a day was 24 hours, a week was 7 days, and a month was 30 days. Based on this, in the curry, it couldn’t be mere coincidence. Someone else must have been here or reborn. Abel approached him, and Rio thanked him for his generosity, but Abel said he liked that he got what he needed. Rio asked Abel if they would go somewhere, and Abel said yes because Rio was his guest. They went to the tavern and celebrated Abel’s return and said Rio deserved the credit for it. The following day, Rio accompanied Nenah, but he was feeling fatigued. Nenah assured him that everyone was grateful to him. They entered the guild and Nenah welcomed the new adventurers, informing them that Rio would be joining them in room 15 starting today. Rio greeted them and one of the adventurers introduced himself as Niels and this was Ido. And he shook hands with Rio. Nenah said she would go to her office and Rio thanked her for guiding him to this place. Niels was very impressed with Nenah, but Ido told him he had only seen her for one second and knew that the reception staff had admirers and he had no chance. Niels had the right to dream of a good wife and of being important. Ido paid no attention to Niels’s talk and welcomed Rio and asked him to not be a problem and Rio agreed. It was relieved because he worried about someone like Dan from the first room. Nenah told them a new adventurer was looking for a place to stay. He introduced himself as Aman and Nils said he didn’t seem to be of age but Aman said he had just turned 16. His whole family had died and he decided to become an adventurer so he came to this town and Ido expected this was the case for most people here. Nenah told them Aman would also attend the dungeon exploration course tomorrow and could go with Rio. Rio moved to welcome him. The scene shifted to Abel and his team where Lynn was unhappy with the decision for Rio to join. She said ice wall, a form of water magic, was thin enough to break with a wind sword, and he said his body was tough, which was impossible. Abel told her that’s what he did. Lynn said magic can be cast closely and didn’t say he materialized a spell, but from a distance. Lynn said that was impossible in basic knowledge, but Rhea asked Lynn to calm down and said Abel had told them. Lynn thought that Rio wasn’t qualified to join them and the wyvern thing was nonsense. Abel said if he looked at it, she was right, but he was sure of what he saw. Rehea said only the famous flame sorcerer was able to do this. But Abel said the rumors about the flame sorcerer that he can burn a thousand soldiers, turn wyverns into ashes, and wipe out a town with one spell and that comparing them was exaggerated. Rehea said that if Abel said everything was true, then Rio was strong, and they would die if he opposed them. Lynn said the worst scenario was for him to join the empire, but Abel said this would never happen. Rya was surprised he was so confident, and his confidence was from the name of the Depo Empire, which shocked them. The story shifts to Rio’s room with his friends and they were
