Comic-Con staple? The cosplay! Here’s a few of the best
And of course one of the staples of Comic-Con is the costumes. Some people spent months getting their outfits ready for this one weekend. CBS 8’s Alex Lai has more on that. There are so many fun things to do at Comic-Con from exhibits to panels, but my favorite thing is looking at the costumes. People spend months making these costumes, coming up with great ideas. I spent the day here at Comic-Con and found some of the best ones. I am Sly from K-pop Demon Hunters and this is mystery. Everything was DIY. I cut the wigs and I painted all the stuff myself, and I’m, uh, dressed like this because, uh, she told me to do it and I just said yes. I’m dressed as Walter White, AKA Heisenberg. From Breaking Bad. I’m trying to stay in character as much as I can, take some phone calls, yeah, try not to smile. I’m Peaches and Cream Barbie from 1985, and I’m Data night Barbie from 1985, — and these were our two favorite Barbies
— growing up, a lot of women coming up and saying I had that doll when I was a kid. I played with her. I’m a glam DeLorean. Grey printed everything, rhin stoned it. I learned to sew. I programmed the lights. So this is Pike Trick foot from Critical Role. I have a lot of little girls coming up to me saying like, Oh my God, you’re so cool. Like I want to be just like that, and that’s that’s why I do that, just to empower next generations. Of course there are so many. Amazing costumes out here today, and I wanted to participate in some of that fun. I’m rocking the headband and I am an alien from Toy Story, even a neon fanny pack and the socks going all out, of course not as cool as some of these costumes, but I think it’s fun to come out and participate. Reporting at Comic Con. I’m Alex live for CBS 8.
