コスプレ用の切り抜き光るポケットの作り方!

Here’s how I made this cutout illuminated pocket for my blade cosplay from Terminal Brigade. I’ve used interfacing to the base layer and carefully placed and stitched down the vinyl pieces. It’s important to use fabrics that won’t fray. I’m using leather for the base as we’ll be cutting out the fabric inside the stitching lines as seen here. Make sure these cut lines are as neat as possible since the light we add later will illuminate them. And now for a quick Bart break. Once you have your shapes cut out, you can finish the pocket or garment however you’d like. I’m making a 3D pocket, so I’m attaching a long rectangular piece of fabric to the edges and adding a clip where the corners are. Later, I added a Velcro piece to the top of the pocket so that I could open and close the pocket whenever I needed to turn on and off the lights. Here, I’m adding three layers of white foam packaging sheets I got from a package a while back. And I cut it to the size of the pocket. This will be added for the diffusion of the light so the whole cutout glows evenly. For the lights, I’m using pink fairy lights and placing them inside the pocket through the Velcro opening after it’s been attached to the garment. It did make the pink fabric around the edges glow, which wasn’t my intention, but the cutout was lit up well. I hope this helps. Bye.
