【Anime Reaction】City The Animation Episodes 5-8 ! Kyoani and more Nichijou, it’s crazy and wacky !

Hello and welcome to my reaction some city the animation the new animation adaptation of another manga by the satas nijou we’ve watched the first four episode last week it was fun as always you know kind of like n I wouldn’t say I like every joke or do I get every joke sometime is just screaming over the top loudness uh I think what saves it sometimes the animation and the creativity in animation from Q&A Um, so far I like it. Though I don’t know if I’d say I’m crazy about it. But again, I figured we do two more stream. Uh, today we’re doing four episode. Sorry about that. And next time we’ll finish with the last five. Um, that is really the plan. Um, again, I’ve enjoyed episode one quite a bit and then three and four were pretty funny. Two, I was like a bit more or maybe it was three. There was one where like I really didn’t find most of the joke that funny. But again with this kind of joke it with this kind of comedy is really like that, right? I mean it’s so random that um you know the goal is to make it that more than alpha the joke lands for someone but it’s not always like that. Yeah, I still enjoy it. I still think it’s fun to watch. So that’s why I was thinking maybe I should drop it in term of like reaction. Um but I think I’ll finish it. So we’re doing four episode today and five next time. Also after this I’m doing another anime reaction stream or anime from summer as well. Um IU well the summer who died. I’m going to be checking out the first four episodes. Um sorry I’m a bit out of my brain is not like working the best. Uh basically like this night I slept but the night before I basically didn’t sleep. So, I’m still kind of recovering from that and today when I slept, you know, it still doesn’t feel like enough. I did probably days. It’s like all nighters are like one of the worst things and I really don’t recommend them. Um, it wasn’t really a choice though. It just had to happen. Um, but you know, the worst thing about it is it feels like it takes like a week or something to recover. Uh, even if you sleep normally for like all the days after, it does feel like it takes like a long time to for your brain to be normal again. Yeah, I think the biggest thing is like the lag. Sometime I feel like my brain is more laggy than usual, you know. Um, sometimes you see me go quiet and stare into the distance. That’s kind of why it’s a lag. Uh, but yeah, as always, it’s time of reaction. Oh, sorry. Give me a second. I didn’t didn’t notice. [Music] As always, it’s not my streams without technical difficulties. You know, this doesn’t happen too often most of the time. So, like if it happens right now, it shouldn’t happen for the rest of the stream. Um, it’s a new problem I have. You know, I fixed the mic recently. Um, so now I have camera for them. Except right now it’s not too bad. And if it stays like this basically like once a day this happens with this connection. As long as it stays like at that frequency, it’s fine. You know, yesterday I had a forest stream. It happened once. So if it’s that frequency, I think it’s fine. It’s not the worst thing that can happen compared to the mic, you know. Anyway, um, time of reaction page. As always, uh, my version starts right away with the show. There’s no logo. My episode 5 is 20 um 4 minute and 4 second. No, 25 minute and 4 second. I think I’m calculating because I’ve got like um stuff that will credit at the end that most version might not have. So it’s different. Um but yeah, again it starts right away with the show no logo. So as always I’ll do a countdown. 5 4 3 2 1 go. On go you press play. Press play. Let’s get into it. Uh, episode five of City Animation in five, four, three, two, one, go. Recap is nice. Yeah, it was some craziness. Yeah. Take what you tell me to what is this t of dimension. What? Very comfy room. Now, this is a great place to lay around. This guy’s I don’t know. I think she might be my favorite character so far. Some boys are great. Why is the like this? Yeah, it’s um looks like a market for or map for like a someone’s climbing um stop motion animation, you know. one of these. Oh, this guy opening. Okay, so this guy was fish. Is he a dad? I guess he was mingling with the normies before, you know, going down to the restaurants. Okay. [Music] I really like this song. This singer was um Leo Foolish. It’s a good vibe. [Music] It’s so relaxing. I don’t know. It’s just a peaceful song. That’s the vibe I’m getting at least. It’s It’s almost too normal for this show, you know. Yeah, it’s too normal for the craziness of the show. What is this? the twin. That’s nice. Where is they again? Okay. Oh, okay. So, it’s also a captive. I was wrong. I see his flight is back to normal. He was just right there. Get out. Another cat with the dog. The villain is spitting. The cop is in on it. Okay, bunny girl. Okay, I’m not leaving. What? Ven bus. You did it once. You should win a second time. Oh, is she staying? I mean, I would also not be in a hurry to escape. Oh, it’s you just went climbing, right? Free solo, I guess. Damn. Oh, Mr. B. Bad time. Magic trick. I mean, oh no, I fell. What? Oh, pigeons. Okay, done. Not very impressive. Oh, you’re losing to pigeons. Wow. How does any of this happen? That was a good performance. It’s a distraction. Okay. Don’t kiss. Okay, that’s pretty amazing. is reversing pale down and braids myself. Okay, kill me. Can I use violence to beat me? This seems like we can resting move. Pile driver. Um, the Undertaker would be proud. Well, we’re just defeating them by not doing anything. That’s the reason. I also waited to this maker. Show your randomness. This show you go. It’s the best outcome. You don’t have to do master. The best outcome possible. Whoa. I for the cat. Okay. Did I forget what’s in the level again? It’s like what I do multitasking. We’ve get the enemy and we’ve get the game on the side. That’s funny. Done based RPG. I don’t know where to look. wood. I’m trying to like cross to see both side guy was sick and he didn’t fight. I would say like the only thing here that they could have done is also the for the right side. That could have been interesting. Tomato. Leav tomato. Okay. Full cartoon running animation. Okay. I was still doing it. I was going to say like this is too much. I can’t keep up with everything and now there’s more. Oh, there’s more. Now, how many times do I need to rush this episode to look at everything? I don’t even know what I’m going to get. I’m just I wanted to focus on the one with dialogue, but I can’t help but look at everything. Can I say again? Okay. It’s crazy that they actually animated all this and they all like in little colors like this. I guess some of them not much is happening. But he’s back. It’s kids. It’s plump. Okay. Who made it off? Who made it off? What the freak is the grandma doing now? I This is really creative. Like, you know, we’re watching like a a multistream or something, you know. Okay. You can probably be rich from this. They’re still going down the tower. I’m so overwhelmed because I’m trying to look at everything. They can train to see if there’s any joke or reference that I don’t get. It’s okay. That’s what she was doing. This is so real, but so unique. I don’t know if it’s good, but it’s unique. Oh H. Seems like most everybody is converging here. Oh wow, that’s creepy. I don’t know what to comment on because there’s too much going on. Okay, now we have only three. It’s fine. Wow. Thanks. Oh boy. Like I don’t even know if it’s funny. I don’t even know what to say because so much going on. Even we don’t need right here. Okay, we’re back. We’re not This is insane. Okay. I love the way they cut out everything this whole part looks in. I’m guessing it’s nothing this crazy. Crazy. It’s almost like weird ways. Waldo. I don’t know who will do is in this case and the fact that this animation to see in the background run is Oh, here we go. Is it Waldolf? Is there Waldolf? Okay, we’re done with the multiple perspective. I’m tired. It will. Of course it will. Oh, maybe not. He didn’t turn around enough. Oh, that’s what it is. Okay, let’s go. See, I didn’t show us before, right? I didn’t just forget. Okay, all square style. Is he at all? People are nice. Oh, this is audio war started. That’s what it is. It was a rich nice guy who wanted to reward people for being nice. That’s nice. Wow. What the [ __ ] Oh, I see. I say you fix your mistake. Why is this such animation back? Like this is pretty good. Beautiful. Okay, that explains all this. So she’s a dis. Let’s go. Man, that was a long episode. 28 minutes. I’m surprised they were able to push this to 28 minutes. I don’t know how I feel about this episode. Did I have fun? Yes. Did I think it was very interesting? Yes. Have I ever seen something like that before? No. Was it good? That’s the kind of complicated question. It feels like something that like I will need to rewatch this episode multiple times. On the first watch, it felt like too much is what I can say. Like it was overwhelming and my brain could not keep up with all the madness going on. Um, but in term of like pure anime creativity, I mean, this is something I’ve never seen before, you know, because obviously it just doesn’t really make sense. You know, it already is a lot of work to animate one part. So, animating multiple things at the same time to only put them in like small bottom screen, you know, almost like you’re watching multiple anime at the same time. It’s insane. I have to assume it’s not like that in the manga. I don’t know. Feels like an anime thing. Yeah. And then the the cut out part at the end, you know, where they would pile up on top of each other. I mean, again, I don’t know how much I like it. It’s kind of hard to tell on the first watch, but I respect it. I mean, this was insanely creative. Yeah, insanely creative. That’s my take on it. Um, and this is kind of what I come for. You know, I can’t say I found most of this very funny or anything, but in term of like being an animation fan, there was a lot to be a fan of. That’s for sure. Yeah. Okay. I hope the next one though is a bit more normal, you know, so I can keep up. Save is at six in five, four, three, two, one, go. Show this a little bit. Let’s twins. That’s why I don’t understand people who have more than one kid. This is the morning start and third already. Let me go back to sleep efficiency. I guess Okay. Well, let’s go. Nice. I can say that kind of ideas I appreciate from the author of this initi right I’m thrown in and I need to catch it in a way to decrease the force and all that this kind of stupid ideas that’s why I Unicorn. Promising his shot. So, I love the needlessly realistic animation. Oh [ __ ] Like that. I don’t think that’s what he was going to say. No. Where’s the twist? Damn, that’s actually even worse to say. Damn it. Oh, okay. Wait. So, where’s the other monkey? I always love the manga segment in manga because you know the author is a manga character writing a manga with a manga segments in a story. So you know a lot of it might be close to related to the experience. It’s human. Yes. Okay. I better we are friends. The silent view Is that the guy with the sleeping? I think. Okay. because you’re stupid or something. O, this is a weird ASML segment. Okay. Okay. What will go wrong? Okay. Did you get to write on name? Yeah. RIP. RIP. So, we don’t know where the monkey is. More of it. It’s you. Oh, she doesn’t want to. Was this all like showing how anybody can make a better version of that manga manga? This is it. It’s a statement. That is kind Why? I carry. I carry. There really is so much on there on each other’s wavelengths, you know, with the jokes and everything, the chemistry. They don’t want to face the what’s happening. It is safe. Yes. Okay. This is sad. It’s really sad. It’s probably like one of the worst things for like you know the way kids are like you know treated like baggage right with no say in things like this you know like your family move well you know because you’re a kid you have no choice I mean you have to leave all your friends and people you know behind because your family decided to move and you know often it’s because of a job or something so it makes sense but it is just kind of [ __ ] up you know and because of a kid you’re a kid you don’t have a seen it you know I mean there might be some case where you know maybe the pounds are okay with leaving the kid, you know, I don’t know, stay around for the school or something, but it’s just kind of sad and [ __ ] up, you know. Yeah. Anyway, great episode. Definitely a bit more digestible than uh the last one. More normal, I would say, but still there was some good jokes, some that I quite enjoyed. Um and um yeah, know just a really good time. I mean, this one was one good one. I hope we don’t go too sad with the fancy separating stuff or there’s a twist and in the end they don’t move away or something. But yeah, it’s nice for me. I remember when I was young and you know um I was like 10 or under and you know I had friends and all that um you know town that we lived in and then we moved away and never know what happened to any of them. Never kept up with any of them. Just one day decided to move away. That’s it. That’s it. Yeah. It’s uh pretty sad as a kid for sure. Okay. Much greater episode I would say. At least much easier to swallow. Maybe it’s a better way to put it. Okay. Let’s see what happens with their relationship. You know how there’s a twist and she doesn’t actually leave. You know, is it seven? No. In five, 4 3 2 one go. My art. My art. True. non-stop memories. Okay. Like it’s comedy, but it’s genuinely sad, you know? and sh. Okay. The names that aliens built. Okay. Down. I do like the song, but I still feel like again it really doesn’t match the vibe of the show without more sounds crazy over the top it is. It’s too of a song, you know. this side character. I think we’ve seen most of them looking at the background, but maybe I’m wrong. Snow. You again. Reminds me of think is the ramen king guy. Simation. later. Wait a waitress. of justice. I can’t fit no. It’s not a mustache. It’s literally Noel. H. Okay. already. I don’t know what good rice really is. I’m so used to, you know, cheap normal um pack of rice, you know, the one we have in France are probably not as good as like real rice they have in Japan. Build them. I’ll be right back. Damn, that’s probably like the Boston Cheryl. H shame of Okay. Shame up alive, I guess. All right, CPR maybe. Lego movie is my favorite. Mhm. wasn’t there also like a lot of food gags I guess in N really into food up remix music. I know I said it before, but I’d love some kind of game with this kind of a style, you know, like a little adventure game. There’s something so conf about this style. I love the That is okay to me. It’s so freaking cute. Damn. They’re going deep with this. Whoa, that’s a face. [Music] kind of. Yeah. As always, I don’t really find all the drug that funny, but I can enjoy the animation, the voice acting. Maybe this isn’t the greatest reaction to the show. You know, some people might find them more funny than me, but I’m enjoying it, you know. That’s all. Let night There you go. Ducks. Frankly, there’s no way that tastes good. Maybe it tastes like chips, I guess. I don’t know. I don’t know. Just cook it. It is really like dumb bad angry like you have no shame anymore. [Music] What if it actually tastes good? Like raw like this. That’s a copy of this. See, again, like looking at something like this, I want a game with the star style. Seriously, some kind of like city open world game, you know, this franchise and it’s like you have a bunch of stupid mini games and stupid character quest that match the craziness of this. It would never happen, but I play it. It wasn’t anything that as if in a cup. I have a cup for winning a a fishing tournament when I was young. Maybe I should drink from it. She’s pretty funny. Oh, that’s what you that’s your fault. always want to go. Man, I see him. He is quite a weirdo. Nice. Thank you for repairing your city world. Once you get in the world, I see. Okay. Okay. Okay. Another fairly all right episode I would say there wasn’t too many jokes that I was that into I feel like you know at times like for me I feel like a lot of the comedies random it’s less about the comedy being funny more the idea being very interesting uh again a good example was like the stuff with you know like someone choose you and rather than just catching it it’s a whole bit about like if you want it to keep its shape you need to catch it in a very specific way and uh slowly decrease the velocity so that it doesn’t um fall apart or something. Just love the idea of it. You know, it’s stupid but creative and um it’s not over the top funny but again it’s fun funny. Yeah. say I keep saying it, but if you guys know any game like this, like with this kind of a style, I might want to What’s that? See, you go too fast. That’s it. for this question. Bruh bruh. He answers his own question too. This is vague though. Oh, it’s okay. But you’re going to get a terrible face. It feels What? I mean, that’s an interesting system at least. So, you’re getting back your bugs. This is so [ __ ] stupid. I kind of like the idea though, like it’s a game show where everybody like everything is more random and the wars are more like esoteric than in your regular game show. I kind of like the concept. Yeah, it’s kind of funny. It’s kind of funny. That wasn’t bad. Okay. Well, yeah, another pretty fine episode. Again, I’m not finding City as entertaining as Nich to be honest, but it is still stand out enough, you know. Um, so there’s stuff to enjoy about it. That’s my take. So, let’s watch the next one. Um, is the date in five 4 3 2 1 go. Okay. She’s so cute. And I love that look. [Music] City the animation. [Music] Okay. I still think there’s some character we haven’t seen, but not too Many of you H why messed up? I was the I actually get it. I actually get it. You need to get It’s kind of sad. Okay. Okay. She’s so cute. What I can say? What I can say? We’re back to this officer’s willpower. like a ghost. That’s great. How does she even leave life? You know what I mean? Well, [Music] I really like the silent movie part. It’s not free silent because it’s doing noises, but you know there’s no dialogue. Okay. Everybody becomes obsessed with her. Okay. We’ll take it out. sounds cool. Buns are pretty sick. It is the buns. [Music] probably night. City nights. Yeah, obviously naming bones is probably a nightmare these days. That’s why I see so many BS with weird names, but they don’t have a choice. Long sides don’t get I think it’s fine. Like there’s like you have no choice. It really doesn’t matter. You have no chance. Reminds me that once I start the episode where try to find a name for their company basically and everything is taken. I’ve heard the name before. Never send. You came in. Kakumi revolution can I guess I was wrong. It happened twice in the stream. That is cheap. You’re just making yourself more attention. What even kind of designs that? Where’s the st of Damn. It’s like the the ripped up jeans style. I guess it looks better on jeans though. What are they doing this time? Oh, okay. Nice start, I guess. deployment. Check with me. Oat. kind of funny. I guess that’s the other one. Don’t do it. videos. She’s cute. I can donate. I can’t. Oh my god. It’s kind of like kind of a setup at this point. I guess she’s too aloof to even care about how he dress. You know, our brain is hard to understand. Our brain just doesn’t work like any kind of normal being. It’s right. You’re looking mobile or whatever. Oh, good. Can I Hey Vian or earthquake. Man, every time you come, I feel like you tell me there’s an earthquake or a typhoon. Must be really hard mode the Philippines. Well, stay safe. Stay safe. Stay safe. I hope nothing bad happens. I don’t know. It’s the one that I don’t see the committee in. Okay. ending. Yeah, the more the true advance, the more I’m thinking it’s not quite doing it for me. I don’t know. Again, as I said, I understand that this is with this kind of comedy, right? Because it’s not um consistent, you know, like if you watch something like um like a lot of comedy show, they have a main type of comedy that they stick to. And if you like it, then you’re going to enjoy most of it. But with something like this where it’s um all over the place and there’s no consistency in the type of joke or comedy there is, you know, sometime it’s funny, sometime it’s not. Right now with the last few episode, I feel like there’s a lot more, you know, it’s not that funny to me than it is. Um again, Nichu, I think, um I’m sure not everybody like it, but what worked for me is that, you know, at least half of the jokes I really liked. Um, so far in City, it’s probably less than Alia. What’s really carrying it is the voice acting and the animation art style. Uh, as well as the creativity and some of the, you know, framing and everything. Yeah, this is another episode that was just kind of me. Yeah, I feel like I don’t have too much to say or not reaction on that interesting. So, I am going to lie. I don’t know if I’ll do a final stream for this. Um, I definitely would finish the show, but maybe not in reaction because I don’t know. In the end, I guess I’m maybe not as much the target audience. I don’t know if it’s like, you know, a lot of the jokes are more funny for like Japanese viewers maybe, or it’s more like, you know, for me, my type of comedy maybe it’s not that funny. I don’t know. You know, it’s really I’m still think about it. Oh, I can’t choose your name, but I don’t know. I mean, I don’t think I have like sophisticated comedy or anything, you know. Um, stuff like Gintama and some of the most basic jokes always get me. Um, nothing deep, you know. Yeah. But I don’t know. A lot of the jokes in CTE. They don’t really work for me. I don’t know why. I don’t know why. It’s interesting. Yeah. It’s interesting. Okay. The end. Okay. Well, yeah. Um I don’t know. You know, I’ll think about it. If I feel like it, I’ll finish it on stream. But again, I don’t feel like my reaction not too great because the comedy isn’t hitting me as much as, you know, person. I still think it’s a fun show to watch in terms of like the animation, the creativity. But yeah, for reaction, maybe it’s not quite working out for me. I’ll decide next time. Otherwise, there was still some good stuff today. Um, but yeah, that’s my thoughts. Anyway, um, right after this, in like 10 minutes, I’m doing another anime reaction stream.
