The Digimon Beatbreak Anime FINALLY DID IT.

[Music] What’s going on ladies and gents? Kagas here and welcome back to another beat break episode. Today we’re diving into episode 10 titled a true friends. Episode 10. Man, Break just went full emotion, roller coaster, and psychological horror, and family drama all set in once. Like, it’s trying to speedrun every genre before the core ends. We’ve got a shady buyers, awful parents, shademon being peak nightmare fuel, and this heartbreaking Digimon reflect your heart theme that honestly punched me harder than any finisher move could ever do. And then finally, after nine episodes of waiting, nope, it’s not gonk. Instead, Kurtman said, “You know what? Alive first seniority privileged buddy boy Gekkan officially breaking Gilman’s record thing is actually pretty funny and I’m glad that that actually happened cuz we can joke about it like this you know in the future or something when someone asks yo what’s so good about that beat break and we can be like oh yeah first of all we got the MC breaking records that’s staggering drink. But actually though, he did breaking records, but I will not have it any other way. So, it’s cool. And yeah, this episode, it’s raw, it’s well written, and honestly, this episode surprised me in the best possible way. And once again, don’t forget to like and subscribe to the channel. And let’s get right on into it. The episode begin when Kurtman absorbed Haro’s Eul then gets taken by Haro and her dad. So Haro and her dad Yamada Sunni, what a name. This parent and child cleaner duo, these guys are known for buying and selling Digimon. And now it seems they’re planning to sell Kermonsu. And to catch them, Makoto and the team return to Shangula Egg and Kio interrogating this broker with that tone and expression. Oh, he’s good. Now, about this mysterious buyer, right? I keep on wondering, is this the same lady from the opening, one of the go-to, but the hair is totally different? Even if it’s tied up, it feels off. So maybe she’s from a different cleaner groups or a different organization entirely like another layer to the to the mystery of B break. Maybe an evil organization or something, right? And then this lady here just casually points a gun at Kio like it’s nothing. And at that moment, I honestly thought, wow, Shangria eggs security is an utter dog Like firearms, bro, absolutely should be banned. Buying and selling Digimon should also be banned. And yet, that’s exactly where the handoff is happening. Even the illegal entry is laughably easy. Like, how could all that scanner didn’t work at all? They the bus just went in and like let’s do this. Shangrila Egg feels like a place where you could walk in with a rocket launcher and no one would care. I didn’t expect the place to be this lax dude. Like remember the previous episode like all that hacking that like do we even need like Kurtman for that? Like okay of course I like how Kio enters the egg more more of a badass. He apologized about sending them there and just brute force to enter the egg. My man Kio. And also another moves from Kmon that they talk about, right? The condensed echo. One that blows Pristiman and Gekkan away. Seems like a very strong moves that even Pristimon doesn’t know about. But Makoto stated that it needs a lot of Euloles to use it. Wow. So different moves charges different amount of Eulo which is a pretty cool touch to detail regarding all this eulo thing. But that leads to the big question. What is this buyer collecting Digimon for? I get that Kmon has spy like abilities like it’ll be a great help for whatever plot that they be planning right but gold nummon seriously what what do you even use him for? Like what? Nah, I’d pay to see what they would use these three dude for. That’d be so funny. Of course, that trade took place in this huge lobby with no CCTV or whatever. Then we got father and daughter fighting over Kurtman. We see Wrath Roar from Cougarmon for the first time too, which is also cool. Genanon shooting at the guns is pretty sleek. Then Gcoman and Wolverman get controlled by Shademon too, right? Haro then escapes with Kermon and ahead of that she runs into Makoto. She is so worried about Kermon, dude. She’s so kind. Haro immediately says Kermon isn’t anything like Makoto. Makoto is the hair of Kuanji Industries. He’s nice, polite, cool. Meanwhile, Kermon just peaks around corners, stick sneaks everywhere, and can’t even fight properly. So, she insists on this Digimon can’t possibly be their facing mirror thing, right? And this part generally hurt to watch if I’m being honest because if she accepts that Makoto and Kurt man reflect each other then she’d also have to admit that she herself and Shmon man reflect each other too. That’s why she’s denying it so desperately. She’s trying to protect herself rather than insult Kermon. At least that’s how it felt to me. Then Haro’s dad and the buyer shows up. It turns out her father wants to forge a new identity using a Sapotama fake so he can erase his criminal past. And here Makoto ask him, why is there only one Sapoama fake? And yes, ladies and gentlemen, this terrible human being after all the thing that Haro hath done for him wants to escape alone. throw away his daughter whom he calls a monster, become someone else, and happily start a new life alone. This man, this man is disgusting. I genuinely felt sick watching him. The same way Haro treats Shademon as a tool, her father admits he treats Haro as a tool, too. And seeing that scene, especially the you’re treating me just like a Digimon. Yeah, it was rough, dude. I nearly cried there. Holy At first, I thought Haro was just this bratty antagonist. But once you see her past, her pain, her upbringing, you can’t help but empathize. Shaiton gets enraged, attacks her dad, and suddenly this kid show takes a very dark turn. Bre has been surprisingly intense since last episode. I like it. And after hearing her father say all that, Haro breaks down. She cried. I mean, who wouldn’t, right? Then she tells Shademon, “Get into my shadow.” She wants Shademan to erase everything. All the pain, all the ugliness, all the parts of herself that she hates, she fuses with Shademon and changes form. And yes, she got her clothes on. And I like how her dress become this black colors, the cat ears, the wings, plus the aura, too. Hey, it’s a lot better than Shade Man N. Right. Then in a mirror world, she says, “This ugly heart, this horrible heart, it’d be better if all of me just disappeared.” And then Makoto responds with one of the most beautiful lines in the whole series. It’s okay to be ugly or to be weak. Then he talks about himself like, “I’m always watching from afar, too, and always one step behind on everything. I can’t say what I want and I don’t have the strength to fight in front like everyone else. Kurtman is my facing mirror, my reflection. It reflects my weakness and ugliness, too. But I really love Kurtman. I’m not kidding. I almost cried there, too. I mean, it’s relatable, right? Everyone has parts of themsel that they hate, parts that feel small, cordly, embarrassing. Digimon reflect those parts and that’s exactly why loving your Digimon also means accepting yourself and that message hit me so deeply. Then Kermon breaks the Itachi’s genjutsu the sukuyomi right after listening to Makoto’s talk no jutsu you know the meme Naruto njutsu jutsu. Yeah. Yeah. then went straight to Makoto and both apologized to each other acknowledging their weaknesses. And Makoto says, “You’re my dear friend.” And Kurtman also says how he loves Makoto too and will protect him no matter what. And together we can become stronger. And that leads to Yep. Kman evolves to Night Kman. Let’s go. My boy looking handsome. We get our first nonwolvermon evolution right here in episode 10. What a treat. And Makoto’s evolution scene. Insane, brother. His expression in the stock footage. The resolution in his eyes, you know, not having or feeling any doubt or uncertainty. Just full of confidence and assured. Every frame is just beautiful, dude. Shout out to the animator. They did a phenomenal job over here. Oh, and the newly added sound effects, too. They tweak a lot of the sound effects, especially this one here. And my expression is is exactly just like Makoto here, dude. I instantly got goosebumps. Anyway, Night Kman. Okay, first of all, he’s way thinner and more humanoid than I expected. But honestly, that fits Makoto perfectly. He got that shyness feel too, which is pretty neat detail. Makoto isn’t a physical fighter, so having a sharp tactical support type evolution makes a total sense. Maybe in his um ultimate or mega level, then we’d see Kurt man in his more of a battle focused form, if you will. And not gonna lie, they’re killing it with the design. The reference book version looks more amazing. Obviously, we haven’t seen more of his moves, so once we get more action animated, I think fans will warm up to him fast. Night Kermon frees Gekkan and Wolvermon from the genjutsu or mind control using cool support focused abilities called a messmer burst. It really felt like a solid role distribution, a Digimon evolution that matches its partner personality and I really like it a lot. Haruko tries to attack Makoto, but the fuse Shaitmon stops her and it suddenly talks normally, which actually shocked me. And honestly, if Shaitmon could talk this well the whole time, like maybe they could have fixed their relationship earlier, like hello. So yeah, Knight Kurtman uses giant rang to defeat Shademon, which I love. The impact frame is so good and the closeup to Haro’s face is just immaculate. Then Haraco finally accepts that Shademon is her mirror reflection. Then Haruko’s father gets beaten up by the buyer and by Kio, thrown into a cage. And I’m sorry, man, but that was incredibly satisfying to watch, man. This is for the girl. Bam. And this is for my family. Bam. And bam. Like, oh my god, that is so good. Haro leaves her father behind and decides to go find her mother. Makoto asks if she’ll be okay alone. Haro then answers, “It’s okay. I’m not alone now. There are two of us. Let’s go. That line absolutely destroyed me, bro. The final shot. Hari on the left with Shademon slowly rising behind her. Chef Kiss. Beautiful. And honestly, this might be my favorite B break episode so far. I think this top pandemon for me. Hey. Hey. Might be the recency bias playing, but I’mma be real. I really didn’t expect the story to go this deep, right? Big break is seriously amazing. And of course, our leader Saw actually tried to recruit Haruko. I really like that. And I just want to see her again in the future episodes cuz look, Shaitmon could evolve into Luminon, right? And we even have Luminon Nanny version from the manga. I mean, we can have that too in Big Break Haro. Luminon version, man. That that would be so cool. We need that though, right? Yeah. Big break is is just is cooking here. And next episode, black emotions. Is Ganon getting a dark evolutions? Cuz I think this time he might be right. So this might be another two-parter where in episode 12, then we might be finally get Gekkan’s evolution. I can’t wait. And that’s all for today’s episode, guys. And if you enjoy the video, don’t forget to hit that like button and subscribe to the channel. I would really appreciate that. Thanks for watching and as always, this is Kag signing off. Stay sharp and I’ll catch you on to the next one. Peace. [Music]
