Hello, before I start I have to say please watch the first video of my channel that explains the mission I am on. The link is below.
I want to talk about School Rumble and explain why it has had such an impact on me and inspired me to seek out a dialogue with Jin Kobayashi 小林 尽 . When I first found School Rumble it was through seeing the anime’ online. It was an English subtitled one. Some people prefer dubbed but I prefer subbed most of the time. But thats for another video haha. I noticed how fun and outrageous and cartoonishly goofy the situations could be in the story, but I soon found that the overall story was also quite serious. The storyline and writing is actually quite phenomenal and very relatable. The unrequited love is very heart wrenching and throughout the series you are really on the edge of your seat, and you hurt when the characters hurt and cheer when there seem to be little victories. I have always been the type of person that cheers for the underdog characters. The long shot types, the ones who seem destined to lose. Harima Kenji, in my informed opinion, is one of the best underdog characters of all time.
I dont say that lightly. Anyway, after I finished the anime’ seasons one and two, I watched extra class and the O.V.A. and was literally distraught and depressed by the ending. I then found the manga and red it all in its entirety. I also red School Rumble ZEE. The ending was heartbreaking in all of them. The only comfort was the hope that Harima would someday do what he said when he told Tenma in the airport that “someday a man that loves you will appear, and that guy will be miserable”. It seemed to point to a future story for Jin Kobayashi to tell. Perhaps a future manga with Harima finally getting to be with the girl he loves. I loved all the other stories involving the other characters as well, the whole series is beyond compare to any other manga or anime’. But for me the most powerful thing that kept me going was the Harima and Tenma storyline. So, in closing I would have to say if you haven’t seen School Rumble, whether in its manga or anime’ form, you need to check it out immediately.
It will also clarify why I am so passionate about this and made this page and started this campaign to find and speak with Jin Kobayashi. Thank you for watching. And as always I say, justice for Harima, closure for the fans, may the hero get his girl, may his spring finally come. Thank you.
