第7話「癒す!」

伝手を頼り遊興娯楽の宿場街「癒しの里」に落ち延びた
カンベエ一行。

そこにはサムライ・シチロージがいた。

カンベエの副官として数々の戦場を渡り歩いたこの男も、
大戦後はサムライを辞め、料亭「蛍屋」の女将ユキノと情を交わしながら、
お座敷で太鼓持ちの生活に甘んじていた。

そこに現れるカンベエ。

シチロージとユキノ、ふたりは何気ない日々の幸せに
終わりが来たことを察する。

静かなるふたりの蜜月、
それは夏の夜の蛍の如く。
