【What’s World Cosplay Championship?】
The World Cosplay Championship is a competition to decide the best cosplay performance team in the world in that year.The final round is held on the last day of WCS. “World Cosplay Championship” started in WCS 2005, competition to determine the best cosplayer in the world of that year. To visit Nagoya and Japan as representatives, all participants have to win through preliminary round organized by national and regional organizers who have partnerships with WCS.
The representative cosplayers are called ” WCS Alumni” from the following year, and they participate in events related to WCS as guests and are introduced on cosplay media, so participation in the WCS main competition can be said to be a gateway to success for cosplayers.
【ワールドコスプレチャンピオンシップとは？】
世界コスプレサミット「ワールドコスプレチャンピオンシップ」は2005年のWCSから始まった、コスプレ世界一決定戦です。代表として日本・名古屋に訪れるためには、WCSとパートナーシップを結んでいる各国・地域のオーガナイザーが開催する予選を勝ち抜かなくてはなりません。 代表になったコスプレイヤーは翌年以降「WCSアルムナイ」と呼ばれ、WCS関連イベントにゲスト参加したり、コスプレメディアで紹介されたりするため、WCS本戦出場はコスプレイヤーの登竜門ともいえるのです。
【World Cosplay Summit 2021】
The participation in the “World Cosplay Championship Video Division” is open to teams composed of two representative cosplayers selected in national preliminaries held in countries and regions participating in the World Cosplay Summit.
【2021年大会について】
2021年大会では、各国・地域で選出された代表コスプレイヤーが撮影・編集したコスプレ映像作品を2021年8月7日（土）～8日（日）に名古屋栄オアシス21ステージにて審査し、グランドチャンピオンを決める世界一決定戦を行いました。
