賛美歌312番いつくしみ深きは結婚式などでもよく耳にしていましたが、同じメロディで作られている星の界（よ）は星の情景とその神秘さを問いかけているような、とても綺麗な曲に思います。
明治43年発表のむかしむかしの歌です。
とある漫画で見かけて、調べたらとても綺麗な曲だったので夜をイメージしてアレンジカバーしました。
In Japan, there is a hymn called “ithukushimi fukaki” based on “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”. It is often sung in wedding churches. I think the composer of this melody is Charles Crozat Converse, but in Japan there are some lyrics to this melody. This song I sang is a song called “hoshi no yo” written by Daisui Sugitani in 1910. He sings about the endless starry sky and the wisdom of people. It is also sung as a hymn in Indonesia. “What A Friend We Have In Jesus” is sung all over the world and I think it’s amazing.
