Ok, from my perspective, I dont ship Arata and Shinobu like ‘OMG OTP’ but more like, as best friends. I honestly do feel like Arata and Shinobu relationship is underrated. I know it seems as if they are not friends but to me, they are. Even though Shinobu constantly mocks Arata, it’s the fact that she’s bothered to mock him which shows she’s comfortable with him and there are scene when Arata mocks back, so in a sense, they have reached some sort of boundary where they can joke with each other. In manga, you will see how so many people trying to talk to shinobu but she just brushes off with her polite smile or just simply ignores it. To me, to an extent, they are BFFL (lmao).
Also i love how this filmed portrayed Arata x Shinobu’s friendship. Despite their scenes together were short and not a lot but the short moments grasped their hidden friendship on point! lmao
I do hope Mackenyu and Mayu can reunite in another drama/film, I hope I can see this awkward friendship continue lmao
