Wahoo supported team, Specialized XC headed to the 2022 Cape Epic race in South Africa with a mission to defend their 2021 results where both the men’s and women’s teams won the overall race. The 2022 edition of the race saw the men’s team (Christopher Blevins and Matt Beers) struggle but overcome adversity to finish 3rd. The women’s team (Sofia Gomez and Haley Batten) dominated the race, winning two of the seven stages and never finishing lower than second in each stage, clutching the overall win.
