Untold “another story” of an acclaimed animated film In This Corner of the World (2016) – the film follows an 18 year old Japanese woman, Suzu. She becomes a bride in Kure, a major base of the Japanese Navy in February, 1944, as she is forced to make do with whatever she can for food and clothing, still being able to sometimes draw a nice picture of her new life with her husband Shusaku and his family members. With more than 250 new cuts intertwined with In This Corner of the World, the film portrays the lives of the people around Suzu, which brings their hidden feelings to the surface.
