Soooooo… here’s my entry for The Group Otaku Only Knows PH’s Fourth AMV Contest… and hey, this is my very first AMV. Ever. And hopefully not the last. I really enjoyed making this although there really are times when I become… well, lazy. #NoobProblems HAHAHA!
There are like uhhh, tons of flashes and crossfades in the transitions, but then really, I can’t find any other effect that suits the song aside from those (or maybe I’m just a noob so yeah).
AAAAAAAND I ALSO ADDED ZE LETTERBOX TO MAKE IT LOOK A BIT… CINEMATIC. BECAUSE LETTERBOXES ARE HART HART.
In case you do not know, a requiem is a ceremony for the dead, although “dead” here does not necessarily mean physically. It could also mean the death of a bond, or a memory, or just anything and/or anyone that one cherishes.
And the song implies that the only way to revive the dead is simply by thinking of them, by rebuilding a fantasy in which they are still alive.
And that, indeed, is tragically sad.
