After playing Alan Wake II, I knew I had to play Control. I got the Ultimate Edition so I could go through both the Foundation and the AWE DLC as well! AW2 had so many references to this game and both won GOTY awards within the space, even if they weren’t from The Game Awards.
Control was developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by 505 Games in 2019. The game is set in the headquarters of a sort of SCP Foundation style bureau called the FBC, or the Federal Bureau of Control. Jesse Faden, the game’s protagonist, is looking for her brother Dylan Faden and uncovers more secrets surrounding The Oldest House. She’ll be meeting characters like Ahti, Emily Pope, Dr. Casper Darling, Simon Arish, and Helen Marshall while fighting The Hiss. Objects of Power, or OOPs like the Service Weapon, can be found and used throughout the game for Jesse to take advantage of.
