Here is the remake of my previous Hourou Musuko AMV, using pieces from the anime this time, to the song “Be Like That” by 3 Doors Down. Again, I used the American Pie 2 version, as the two changed lines at the beginning fit better.

As with the first I would like to dedicate this video to the mangaka of Hourou Musuko, Shimura Takako. Thanks for making such a great manga! I also dedicate it to all the open-minded people of the world. And also, to the people of Japan who’ve recently suffered the earthquake and tsunami; we’re here for you in your time of need!

I do not own the song Be Like That, 3 Doors Down, or Hourou Musuko.

Be Like That (American Pie 2 Edit) Lyrics:

He spent his whole life being too young
To live the life that’s in his dreams.
At night he lies awake and he wonders,
“Why can’t that be me?”
‘Cause in his life he’s filled with all these good intentions,
He’s left a lot of things he’d rather not mention right now.
Just before he says goodnight,
He looks up, with a little smile at me, and he says,

“If I could be like that.
I would give anything,
Just to live one day
In those shoes.
If I could be like that,
What would I do?
What would I do?”

Now in dreams, we run.

She spends her days up in the north park,
Watching the people as they pass.
And all she wants is just a little piece of this dream.
Is that too much to ask?
With a safe home,
And a warm bed,
On a quiet little street.
All she wants is just that something to hold onto.
That’s all she needs.

“If I could be like that.
I would give anything,
Just to live one day
In those shoes.
If I could be like that,
What would I do?
What would I do?”

I’m falling into this,
In dreams,
We run away.

“If I could be like that.
I would give anything,
Just to live one day
In those shoes.
If I could be like that,
What would I do?
What would I do?”

“If I could be like that,
I would give anything, just to live one day,
In those shoes.
If I could be like that,
What would I do, Lord?
What would I do?”

Falling in.
I feel I’m falling into this,
Again.
