秋葉原を拠点に活動するアイドルユニット「でんぱ組．inc」が3月13日、東京都内で行われた劇場版アニメ「しまじろうとおおきなき」（平林勇総合監督）の初日舞台あいさつに登場。同映画主人公の人気キャラクター「しまじろう」と楽曲「となりのドーナツ」でコラボしているメンバーは、会場に集まった2～5歳の子どもたちに向かい「私たちのこと知ってる？」と呼びかけると、「知ってる」と元気な声が返り、大喜びした。
でんぱ組．incは、メンバーそれぞれがアニメ、マンガ、ゲームなどのコアなオタクという6人組のガールズグループ。ひきこもりやいじめに遭った過去などを持つメンバーたちだが、2013年以降発売されたシングルが6作連続でチャートのトップ10入り。2014年には武道館公演を成功させている。
しまじろうはベネッセの幼児教育教材「こどもちゃれんじ」の人気キャラクター。同アニメは、しまじろうの活躍を描くテレビアニメ「しまじろうのわお！」（テレビせとうち・テレビ東京系）の劇場版第3弾。物語は、しまじろうたちが雲よりも高い木「マザーウッド」が苦しんでいると知り、助けに向かう……というストーリー。

The idol group “Dempagumi.inc”, which is principally based in Akihabara, appeared on the stage and extended greetings on the first screening day of the animation movie “Shimajiro to Okina ki” (directed by Isamu Hirabayashi) in Tokyo on March 13th.
The members of the group colaborate with the famous character Shimajiro, the main character in the movie, in the song “Tonari no Doughnut”, and turned toward kids aged 2 – 5 years old who gathered in the hall and asked “Do you know us?”, and was very happy when received the response “We do!”
