RE Infinite Darkness premiered on the Netflix streaming service on July 8, 2021. The full episode of the series was also released on DVD and Blu-ray with a bonus 30-minutes special feature: The Making of Resident Evil Infinite Darkness on December 21, 2021. The events of the series take place in 2006, 2 years after Resident Evil 4, roughly one year after Revelations and Leon/Claire’s previous reunion in Resident Evil: Degeneration, and just shortly before the Raid on the Spencer Estate in the Lost in Nightmares campaign of Resident Evil 5.
