Interstate 39 between Normal and Minonk will be closed for about 12 hours, according to Illinois State Police, after multiple crashes involving more than 100 vehicles were reported on the freeway.

According to state police, many crashes occurred on Interstate 55 between Bloomington and Dwight, and multiple crashes occurred on Interstates 57 and 80, causing traffic congestion throughout the evening commute.
