Since I caught up Nagi no Asu kara recently, I decided to record an anime piano medley of both opening and Ending songs. I’ve spend almost an entire week on the transcription, since I’ve edited this over and over again.
The reverb in this video is entirely natural, I didn’t add any artificial reverb. This is because I used a unique hall in my conservatory to record this video.
Usually this hall (called Kapitelsaal) in my conservatory is only used to perform a capella music, or baroque music like Bach, due to the extreme reverb.
I chose this hall on purpose because I want to create an “underwater” sound with a lot of natural reverb (since Nagi no Asu kara is a seaside story)

Aside from that, this medley is written in my “improvisational” style: This means that I took a lot of freedom in transcribing this piece.
I have differed many times from the original melody and wrote variations and various ornaments instead. And as usual, I added some “original” material as well (many elements are taken from the full version singles of the OP/ED)
I think ‘ve invested almost 30 hours in this transcription but I can safely say, it’s totally worth it because this is one of my most unique transcriptions I’ve ever done.
Also, this is probably my last upload for this anime season, since I am going to be very busy now with the preparation for the AniPiano concert in Los Angeles on 12th April.
