Hello again!
After the usual long hiatus, I am back with another piano transcription of my favorite comedy series – Hozuki no Reitetsu!
As I already did a video on this anime with a more, erm… gaudy attitude, I thought I might compliment it with something more down to earth this time. And here we go, after a long time, finally a new piano transcription！
Well indeed, I seem not to be very productive on youtube these days. The reason is simple. I can only exert the effort to comply with my own quality standards if I have the neccessary motivation. However, the quality of entertainment media is still at an all-time low (actually ever since shit ass offline in 2012) and any truely inspirational content is pretty much nonexistent.
But even in these dark times, we can find small glimpses of hope! The creators of this show really went out of their way to make something unique, creative and of high quality. To honor their efforts, I thought, why not do the same. And what better opportunity than to take on such an interesting ending song?
As far as the actual transcription is concerned, I am very satisfied. Not only did I handle the unusual chord progressions very well despite my hiatus, I also managed to keep the difficulty at an acceptable level (lol). Arrangement-wise, I think I stroke a nice balance between adding a personal touch and staying true to the original.
And with this, I’m sadly done for the year, so I already wish you a merry christmas and happy new year!
However, I will update my blog before new year, so I’d be happy if you find the time to stop by there as well.
