Of all the songs in Fate Month, I worried about this one the most.
I’m not just talking technically. The song went through 3 different mixers, the recording had problems all across the board, the instrumental was difficult to work with, and the video is a bit of a mess. But that’s not the part that made me worry.
It was… the hill. The climb. The challenge. I set out to do Last Stardust this past summer, and I wanted to do it right. Fate Month is a celebration of what Fate means to me, and I want to do it… justice. Y’know?
Acting across from yourself is. Very difficult. Even if it’s a bit easier on me, since they’re technically the same character, to create a voice different enough that they don’t get confused, but not too far apart to be out of act-able range? It was. Tough. I think I did well enough though. It was really fun to do.
Shirou and Archer are… an interesting pair. Going through F/SN, then meeting Archer as he is in Chaldea is. very nice. It’s such a small, obvious thing, but it really does mean something. That Archer changed. That those stories really mattered. And seeing it before your eyes. It’s like sharing a joke only you two know. Again, it’s so insignificant, and it’s a matter of course, but… I don’t know. I just. really like these characters. I really like Fate.
But you knew that already.
