This video is a ranking of all characters I’m familiar with in the game Touken Ranbu, a Japanese online browser game by DMM games. The game is about players acting as saniwas, or masters to Japanese sword spirits, and leading the human forms of those spirits into the past and fighting against enemies who are trying to alter the course of Japanese history. Most swords in this game are all real ones used by real historical figures, some took reference from folklores (the Naginatas, for example)
I first started playing Touken Ranbu in late 2018, and quit for a while around 2020, but I’ve decided to go back to it because I’m unwilling to abandon my lovely Touken Danshis.
I decided to make this list to express my love towards the game. The characters are ranked according my personal tastes only, and there are no official ranking lists for the game. The rankings are decided based on a mixture of factors, including visuals, expected strengths, voice acting, background story and so on.
This is the first video I’ve ever created, it may not be the fanciest, but I’m serious towards it and tried by best to include everything I want to say about the characters and the game.
