Sky News Reporter Kristie Lloyd says water levels in Windsor in Sydney’s north-west are slowly receding.

“For the Hawkesbury-Nepean region, this is now the worst flooding disaster that we’ve seen since 1978,” she said.

The damage will be assessed as water further recedes, with the recovery effort expected to be a lengthy one.

“This is a widespread, devastating event that is currently impacting thousands of people across this region.”
